Superb customer service

The media could not be loaded. I have experience with fountains and understand that the principle is so rudimentary that problems should also be rudimentary. That said, the assembly instructions for this wonderful fountain were inexplicably incomplete. Thank goodness customer service was immediately responsive. I suspect that these reviews cover multiple products, do my comments apply only to the Sphere Cascading Fountain I videoed. The 'innards' of my fountain are not visible so inserting the pump and filling the reservoir must be done by feel. I could hear that the pump was running, but water was not flowing. Customer service brought to my attention two facts I was unaware of. First, the fountain will not work unless the pump AND the shut off valves are fully submerged, and since I could not see inside, I was unaware that my pump was not fully submerged. It turned out that the reservoir held many gallons; I lost count of how many I put in. Secondly, I was unaware that the pump contains a 'vent' that controls water flow (see photo); this must be open for the pump to work. Customer support said it should be open to the max, but once I got the fountain working, I closed it a bit to lower the flow. I read contradictory directions regarding the water to use for the fountain. Originally I was instructed to use only distilled water, but then I saw something that said any type of water. My experience with fountains leads me to want to experiment with the distilled water method in hopes that it will prolong the length of time before maintenance is required... because maintenance WILL eventually be required. I am always saddened to read reviews that say a fountain stopped working after...a month...six months. I used filtered water on my last fountain, but truthfully stopped using it because I found the maintenance not worth it. I hope this fountain, with such a large amount of water, and distilled water at that, will make a difference. Lastly, I am shocked to tell you that I didn't originally see this fountain for sale on Amazon, so bought it at Home Depot...for $16 more than it was on Amazon!!!

Paint peels off after 3 months!

Our fountain was beautiful for the first 3 months of its life. It lives in our front screened-in porch and we have had many comments on how beautiful it was. "WAS" is the operative word since although, as you can see from the photos, it lives under the cover of a roof it has begun peeling in many of the areas that the fountain water runs over. What a mess!!!! Our last fountain lived in the same spot for almost 10 years and we replaced it only because we repainted the house, gray, and installed new pavers and wanted something "different" This is certainly different as it has not made it to 4 months old! Although there is suppose to be a "HASSLE-FREE : Includes a limited 1-year, hassle-free manufacturer's" can't find any way to contact the manufacturer and my Amazon window closed after the first month. Did I mention the first one came broken and they did in fact replace - but this is really $191.92 piece of JUNK. Seriously consider something else that will stand up to being used as a water fountain that does not cause the paint to bubble and peel off.

do NOT bother

even though other reviews state how poorly made this was I decided to take a chance. Bad choice. the first fountain arrived broken into tiny splintered bits, amazon replaced the fountain in a very timely manner. the second fountain arrived , broken again. I measured the thickness of a broken piece, would you believe it was only a 16 of inch thick. the fountain would brake just looking at it! don't bother ordering this one, your time, amazon's time, UPS's time would be just wasted.

Don't Buy - quality is a joke

The media could not be loaded. Arrived with the top completely shattered with exposed fiberglass despite no physical damage to the box. The damage actually reveals the fiberglass isn't connected to anything, and as a result serves no structural purpose - it only adds weight. Absolute junk - refunded after cleaning up the hundreds of styrofoam bits that exploded onto my floor along with a rusty nail.
