Not a lot of extra belt material for large waist
This belt is well made, the belt material itself is in good condition after wearing it for one week but the end tail where the buckle attaches has frayed a bit. Once that happened, the "teeth" of the buckle came off the belt itself leaving the other end hanging free. Location of the release mechanism is on the underside of buckle and can be a bit difficult to find once the belt is fastened on your waist. The buckle itself is solid, but the "teeth" part need more reinforcement on the belt end to maintain a gripping connection, if that makes sense. Had to wrap a piece of gaff tape around the tail to keep the buckle attached to belt. This might be because of it tight on a larger waist or simply the design of item. Overall, the belt is really nice and with a couple of design changes it could be even better.

Super durable but kinda ugly/cheap looking too
This really looks like someone got a ratchet strap and put a cheap buckle on it, it's pretty ugly. But it does look like in the picture so it is what it is. Functionality, it works well and is very sturdy. I think this would be great for workers who strap things onto their belts and such but for everyday wear, I don't recommend it for that at all. It's an interesting concept but I'm just not feeling it with how ugly it turned out being in person.

2 broke in the exact same spot
The media could not be loaded. Both buckles broke where the buckle is connected with 2 small pins to the belt. I'm 5ft 10in 155lbs. I'm not fat, I don't carry tools on my hips, I only use a belt because in the food industry it is required that your shirt is tucked in. 1st one broke the first day. I ordered a replacement that one broke 3 days later. I decided to drill out the belt and run tigging rod through and both belts have been going strong for weeks. I love wolverine products but this is either a crap design(pins too small?) or a flaw in the pins themselves. If it was me I'd have ran all the way through. And put a small bolt and some spacers. The second belt actually has two small bolts, the aluminum tapped easily. Outside of that issue, the belt itself seems to be of a good quality. If only it worked. I'll get a Pic of the one with a tig rod lol. Not a clean looking but hey if it works it isn't stupid.

Great for hiking/camping
My husband has some awesome carhartt hiking pants that are made of a thick canvas-like fabric. However, as he hikes the waist seems to get looser and his pants look like they want to fall down. I wanted to get him a high-quality, casual, belt that looked like it was made for hiking. When I saw this belt, it looked like the perfect solution. I had never seen a belt a rachet buckle before. It looked great in person. The rachet buckle works really and is much better for active use than a “normal” belt with punched holes. It keeps his pants up and doesn’t get loose over time. There are guidelines for ordering the correct side and they are accurate. You do have to cut the belt to size, which is a little stressful. Remember to measure twice and cut once and it won’t be a problem. This belt is definitely A+

Ratchet Releases in an Awkward Position
So for wearing the belt, it is on the heavier side. If you happen to be carrying something and allow it to press on the belt, it has the chance to ride up and tighten further than desired. This makes it a little awkward having to readjust right after. I found that after adjusting a lot, the release handle does get looser over time since it’s all held by the one spring in place and for mine it does scrape against the buckle. Overall it’s a solid belt.

Order big and cut to length
I didn't see any guidelines that explained waist size to belt size so I ordered extra large. It arrived and appears to work for up to a 46" waist. Way too big for me but that was expected. I know the style of this belt and knew I could cut it down to what I needed. I cut off about 10" of length from the buckle end but the buckle goes on and comes off easily yet mounts securely. The buckle is the best part of this belt. Very nice design. The belt part is not as good as other belts I have of this style. It has good locking points but the belt is floppy and not as strong as others. Its still nice and I'll still wear it but it won't take the top place as my favorite belt.

Broke pretty quickly
This belt was great at first, and then on the second day or so the buckle part broke loose from the belt. It could have just been my experience, but I currently wouldn’t recommend the belt.

Great budget belt
Overall this is a nice casual budget belt. If your worried about sizing, go longer as you can always just cut the end to whatever size you need, theres included instructions to do this. Theres a buckle release lever which allows you to remove strap and cut as needed. The belt itself automatically ratchets as u push it in further. Theres a separate release lever to lift the ratchet so you can loosen the belt. The belt loop feels a little bit too close and i think it would of nicer if there was a little more space to it from the buckle. The materials feel durable, the belt buckle and ratcheting mechanisms appear to be all metal. The belt strap is nylon webbing, which is attached to a leather strap.
