followed all the instructions to season and this is what i got! a hard stain yellow on the wok
I followed all the instructions to season the wok.. after an hour with oil coated, it came out with a hard yellow stains that won't be scrapped out. I had this wok for 2 days . The instruction must miss something! had to return it even i hated to return stuffs. If the season process is simple then the manufactures should do it then can just coat it with a layer of vegetable oil to prevent oxydization. this is a 2nd time I have problem with the 'seasoning'. Same instruction and came out with same disaster results. sorry

Great Wok
I really like this wok. It is a great size, heats quickly, and has strong solid-riveted handles. The only thing that kept it from receiving the perfect score was the material thickness. At this size it flexes just a bit too much. As others have noted, this comes with a pretty thick layer of rust-preventive oil. It is more like shellac. A couple wipes with mineral spirits and you have a nice looking unseasoned wok. The instructions for seasoning are clear and easy.

Great wok, but...
I like the wok and it the perfect size for my crew of 8. But the wok has no lid for steaming which can offer a problem. But other than being a little thinner than my smaller and larger ones was a good buy.

I cook a lot of stir fry dishes, and this wok just added an extra point. I love the size of it, it may feel too light but it is holding up so far, price wasn't too bad either. Highly recommend!

I used the pan once I seasoned it and after I used it I had to throw it in the garbage

Not the highest quality, decent for the price. Read the instructions, if you respect them it will not rust. First wash it with oil, yes OIL. Put some oil and scrub with a towel, oil removes the sticky part, then wash with soap. Then turn the burner to the max and burn every single inch of the wok to remove any impurities, even the handles. (this will take time) Then put some oil and cook some onions, but don't eat them, as they are used to soak up the remaining chemicals. Cook some water and use a bamboo brush to scrub the wok. Repeat a couple of times. Then put some oil and cook your food normally. When finished with the wok, cook some water again a couple of times and scrub with the bamboo. Then heat up the wok until it smokes and there's no more water or residues. After it cools up a little, scrub the inside and outside with oil. Done.
