No more fighting with screws as you try to insert and remove them

This little device should have been added to my toolbox YEARS ago. It's so simple, yet completely effective. When you use a screwdriver that doesn't have magnetized tips, screws won't stay in place as you try to insert them...and they fall off when your remove them. I got so tired of dealing with it. Just stick the tip of the screwdriver (or drill bit driver) into the + side of this device, wiggle it around in the magnetized area for a few seconds and you are done! Now, when you put a screw onto the end of your screwdriver, it stays in place on it's own and wont fall off when you are inserting it. Just as valuable, when you remove a screw, it stays on the end of the screwdriver and won't fall down into whatever you are working on. It will generally stay magnetized during your project, but just use it again when the magnetic pull starts to wear off. I haven't needed the de-magnetize option (-) but it's there if you do. This thing is cheap, easy to use and a "must have" in your toolbox. Wish I would have bought it years ago.

Works!

Really works. Used it on a small Craftsman Philips screw driver I was using to setup a new computer. I went from dropping screws and having to dissemble parts to fine the dropped screws to no problem.

Works on regular screwdrivers, not so much on screwdriver bits

The title says it all. It works pretty well on regular screwdrivers, for both magnetizer and demagnetizer functions. But for screwdriver *bits*, there's barely any magnetization. If you install the bit on a shank or holder and try to magnetize them together, that doesn't work quite well either (and sometimes the slot is not big enough for this case).

É ótimo, melhor só se a WIHA explicasse a maneira correta de uso.

Em termos de MAGNETIZADOR é perfeito, basta passar a chave e ela já sai magnetizada. Agora como DESMAGNETIZADOR foi um sofrimento só, reduzia mas sempre continuava um pouco magnética, o que para uso em eletrônicos pode ser bem problemático. A WIHA tem um vídeo oficial do produto em inglês, mas não ajudou em nada. Já estava quase entrando em contato com a WIHA, até que resolvi pegar uma bussola, pesquisar e fazer alguns testes. O que de fato acontece é que os dois orifícios magnetizam, porém em polaridades opostas. O orifício assinalada como MAGNETIZADOR é mais forte, tem um imã em cima e outro embaixo, enquanto que o DESMAGNETIZADOR só tem o polo oposto de um dos imãs. Mas isso é necessário, pois se você passar uma chave não magnetizada no desmagnetizador, ela será também magnetizada em polaridade oposta. Foi então que compreendi o ERRO, como o desmagnetizador é mais fraco, é necessário passa-lo diversas vezes, porém, se a intensidade do desmagnetizador for superior ao necessário, ele acabará magnetizando na polaridade oposta. Testando a chave na bussola descobri que o SEGREDO são os degraus no DESMAGNETIZADOR, cada vez mais distante da parte central, mais fraco será o efeito. Desta forma, para DESMAGNETIZAR bem, eu preciso passar no desmagnetizador, uma ou duas vezes até ficar fraco e depois uso o apoio dos degraus para passar a chave bem longe do centro e praticamente zerar o magnetismo. Isto posto, o PRODUTO é ótimo e cumpre o que promete. Melhor seria contar com instruções ou um vídeo da WIHA orientando os clientes no uso do produto. Tenho certeza que muitos devem achar que o produto não funciona direito, por falta das instruções de uso correto.
