CAN NOT USE WITH LED OR CFL
Kind of torn on a "Star" value. The fixture is inexpensive and works fine with an Incandescent light bulb. I dont know how long it would have lasted as I put it in tested it and found it wouldn't work for me so .. I guess its worth 3 stars for working and being cheap. However .. there is no mention in the specifications, the instruction manual or on the box that tells you it wouldn't work with CFL or LED. There is a label that should be somewhere that lets you know what types of bulbs a particular fixture can use. I bought one at Lowes when I saw that this wouldn't work for me and indeed it is labeled on the outside of the box. Look online so you know what the label looks like. Incandescent bulbs are getting harder to find so it would have been good information. So I cant give it one star because the fixture does indeed work so long as you use an incandescent bulb but not having the specs somewhere forced me to spend 30 minutes installing it, 15 more testing it and then a walk to lowes because I had already dismantled the electric and didnt feel like putting it all back together without adding a fixture. Cost 2.5 hours of my day for a 20 minute job due to lack of important information.

Not flush
The lamps would not sit flush against the wall because the wire nuts were thicker than the space behind the lamp. I had to modify the rear plate in order to fix flush.

Very marginal, better alternatives available
Very basic unit, would be ok, but: Hole for wires has very sharp edges, could use a grommet or edges could be smoothed in manufacture. This hole is in a cover plate in the rear, next to the wall. It is zinc plated, should be coated since as is it will rust in a relatively short time. The front screw that holds the jar screws into a "nut" that is a thin piece of metal inserted into a slot in the plastic housing. The metal is way too thin and the screw holds because the hole is small enough to allow the screw to "thread" when inserted sideways. The plastic could be made thicker at this location and threaded or a nut could be embedded during mfg. The photoelectric sensor is a 2 wire type, suitable for incandescent only. At HD there is a miniature 3 wire type which looks like it would fit, but you did not buy this fixture to re design it. Westinghouse states the photocell will work if the lamp used is dimmable. The photocell as provided has a progressive turn on (as against a positive full on as in the 3 wire type). This causes the dimmable lamp to sit on its threshold of operation for a period, causing early failure. Westinghouse does not sell a replecement photocell, and except for the 3wire type at HD, which would require a wiring change and might not fit at the location provided you are out of luck. The manufacturers have to realize that at least some of us want an Edison base so we can put in a 40 or a 60 w equivalent, especially when many led or cfl's are available, and the color of the light (at 4000k) is harsh in the fixtures that are designed with straight glass pipe lamps. Usually you are stuck with a 60w equivalent. On Ebay there is a vintage Lithonia lighting wall fixture. Cast aluminum frame, cylindrical glass that screws in, and a gasket. That was then. Very similar items to the Lithonia are available on Amazon today. (Nuvo lighting SF77/138) I'm returning this unit.

$100-Lamp, so far...Poor Customer Service!
It fails to work a few weeks after installation. The cheap sensor makes the lamp flicker even in broad sunlight which will inevitably kill each and every light bulb. I will now have to pay the handyman again and I am truly frustrated with this item! 15bucks for the lamp, $75 for the handyman, plus ten for a burnt-out light bulb due to the light sensor killing the bulb, it adds up painfully! After AMAZON not being able to help, I have contacted WESTINGHOUSE in this matter; I will update this review to share the results. WESTINGHOUSE now tries to blame the malfunction on the consumer: "The item #6694900 is designed for use with incandescent lights, and should not be used with CFLs. The dusk-to-dawn sensor installed in this fixture is not the correct type for use with CFLs, and the small enclosed space in the glass "jelly jar" is not recommended for use with CFLs, which tend to overheat in the enclosed space, especially with the base facing upwards. (Most CFLs will specifically state that they are not for use base up in enclosed fixtures.) Additionally, some areas do not receive enough light to allow a dusk-to-dawn sensor to function properly, and they will stay on at all hours. Flickering can be caused by the dusk-to-dawn sensor seeing the light from the fixture, and shutting off. When the light goes off, the sensor switches it back on again, only to repeat the sequence. This will rapidly cause a CFL to fail, and is part of the reason that dusk-to-dawn sensors are made differently for incandescent lights and CFLs. I would suggest replacing the CFLs you have been using with an incandescent light. If you continue to have an issue with the light flickering at all times, the location this fixture is installed in might not be the best place for a dusk-to-dawn sensor. Areas under overhangs, or otherwise shaded from direct light, are sometimes always dark enough that the sensor does not detect enough light to shut off. Areas with a reflective surface in view of the sensor can cause the flickering issue you are noticing. If you still believe the fixture to be defective, we will need a copy of your sales receipt and a photo of the location the fixture is installed in. Thank you, Fran Hurley Q. C. Whether CFL or incandescent bulbs are mounted is irrelevant, it flickers and destroys bulbs.

Great retro dusk to dawn porch light.
This inexpensive fixture was exactly what I was looking for to replace an older fixture with the same shape base. The clear jelly jar shade gives it an old school retro look. The photo cell switch controlling dusk to dawn operation works very well.

basic budget light fixture - but you NEED the correct bulb
I was looking for a cheap dusk to dawn light for my driveway. Dissappointed at first - it would not work properly with a regular LED bulb so I tried a regular 60W incandescent - then it worked better. I have now installed a dimmable LED and it works great. It should be stated in the item description that bulb type is so critical for proper on/off functionality
