Modern Light

Great modern looking light fixture. Put it in the entrance way and it really makes a statement for a classy modern look. Well made and good value.

Very happy with it!

It is a really pretty fixture and looks great in our French country kitchen. The breakfast nook is a small space so we were looking for a small statement piece and this is perfect for that. It’s both rustic and classy. It is a little dim, so definitely use higher wattage bulbs. It looks just like the pictures…. No surprises. My husband is good with his hands and put it together and installed it within half an hour.

Love this light!

I had decided to finally get up the gumption to change the original light in my stairwell from the previous owner(think circa 1970). The reason this took me so long was because I was looking for something specific as well as finding the nerve to climb a ladder so high. I had bought another light before this one(see other review somwhere) but after about a month I just didnt like the light output. I really wanted something modern and in some sort of metal. And since I conquered my fear of climbing the ladder I figured I was a pro already. After what seemed like weeks of searching many sites and on here I came upon this one. The price was right if I made a mistake and the reviews seemed pretty positive. The light was delivered very well packaged. I was extremely impressed with the quality of the materials for the price I paid. I really liked the design of the cup that goes against the ceiling as well. My main point of contention with the previous light was that above my stairwell I have a loft, and I wanted light to spread into that room as well. That light didnt do anything but shine directly down. My fault as I liked the design of the lamp but didnt really think ahead. This lamp is amazing. I used very bright LED lights in it(probably too bright, might go down in a few months). But it spreads light everywhere that I wanted. Also, the shadows it produces are really cool. I love the look of the light hanging from the chains, which at full length is perfect. Almost like it belongs in a dungeon.... I have had several family members and friends who commented asking how many hundreds I spent on it(knowing I tend to go overboard sometimes). When I told them the price they were amazed. They said it looked like it should have been $300 or more. For all that, I cannot recommend this light enough.

A great, simple fixture.

We wanted something to replace the huge gold and glass monstrosity that was hanging in our entryway and weighted a ton. Our house is Mediterranean style, so we wanted something that would fit within that theme. This fixture is perfect. My wife and I both love the look of it. It is extremely light weight. It seems reasonably well made and our electrician didn't seem to have any troubles putting it up.

Beautiful but kind of scary and confusing to install

The item is very beautiful and romantic. It’s not super bright with 3 lights but we have recessed lights in that room already which we can use if we need extra brightness. I bought this mainly for decoration. The main downside is it’s so hard to tell which is the ribbed hot wire and which is the smooth neutral wire. First the two are both black. They are connected down the middle and only split at the end. The ribbed one is hardly ribbed at all. Maybe has an extra thin line of rib on it. But the smooth one isn’t without rib because as you peel apart the two black colored wires that are fused together the side where they were connected looks like a rib itself. Second I had just installed a chandelier the other day where the hot and neutral wire were interchangeable so because this one was so hard to tell I assumed they were also the same. But definitely not because as soon as I tested the lights it short circuited I knew I had it wrong and just switched it and retried. I thought no big deal if it causes me a couple more trips to the basement to turn on and off the circuit. But what was really strange was the second day I tried to turn on the lights and it short circuited again. Then I tried many more times after that and it seemed ok but we are only in our third or forth day of having the item installed so we will keep an eye out for it. We thought this one would be much easier since it was the second diy one we installed. The first one took us much longer but hasn’t given any problems since installation.

Nice modern light

Nice modern light! I hung this in a house I'm flipping and I really like it. I especially liked the price compared to other very similar models like this: https://smile.amazon.com/Cerdeco-4-Lights-Chandelier-Pendant-Brushed/dp/B01JU3DJS2/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1483825500&sr=8-5&keywords=nickel+modern+chandelier It took me about 30 minutes to hang it, but I hadn't hung a light for a couple of years, so made a few mistakes at first (and I didn't read the instructions!). The first thing to do is to string the wires through the chain - I went through each link, but you could skip every other one or so. You have to use two pliers to open up a chain link to fasten it to the light structure...then you use a pliers to close the link. I then screwed the support bracket to the box in the ceiling. There is a skinny nut that should be placed over the chain next (this is a step I forgot) as well as the cover. You can open up a link and attach the chain to the support bracket at this point. Next you thread the wire up through the center hole and use wire nuts to fasten the whites together, the blacks together, and the green/copper neutrals together. There is a green screw also to fasten the neutrals to. Then you can fasten the cover by screwing on the nut you had on the chain.

Absolutely stunning! Chain not yet installed on the pic as it looks even more gorgeous now. Exactly what I wanted. I was able to install it by myself. And for the price, you can't go wrong. Good quality, excellent finishing

Love it! Looks exactly as pictured!

Love the light! It also gives off a decent amount of light, it’s not dim in my opinion as others have suggested. It’s also more black than bronze which is what I wanted for the look I was going for. So if you’re looking for a true bronze probably not what you’re after.

Very happy with it!

I bought this pendant light fixture to go over my dining room table. Very nice and compliments my other fixtures that are same industrial looking track lighting over my kitchen island.
