Great affordable sander
I’m not a professional drywall finisher, so I didn’t need the several hundred dollar machine. I am redoing my attic tho and didn’t want to sand by hand. That’s where the sander came in. Great suction, minimal dust and doesn’t sand too deeply. If you’re on the fence about getting one, just do it. Trust me it’s worth It not to have the sore arm/shoulder and the tremendous amount of dust that hand sanding leaves behind.

They could charge double
I just got done remodeling my kitchen and skim coating my entire ceiling in the kitchen, living room, and dinning room. With a good vacuum with a bag. I bet this sucked up about 85% of the dust. This is well worth the investment. It made very short time with sanding about 600 square feet of ceiling. One word of caution. When placing on the wall or ceiling for sanding. Make sure you set it on the surface flat as possible.A couple of times I sent the front edge on the surface with the sanding disk spinning. I put a groove on the wall and ceiling where I placed it. No big deal. I just touched it up again. i cannot tell you enough how much this sander made my life easier and cleaner. It is not 100% dust free, but I would say 85%. Be sure to use a good wet and dry vacuum with a bag.

Great sander for the price
I like how compact and lightweight this sander is. Hopefully it’ll withstand the amount of drywall that I do over the course of time. We will see but so far so good!

READ THIS TO SAVE MONEY
I have used this a ton of times and it does work great. The fact that it comes with a variety on sandpaper is great. It saves you a ton of time. Do not get forceful just let the machine do the work. If you are sanding painted surfaces its a great idea to sand the wall first for a smooth finish. The biggest problem with this is you need to bench press 200lbs to use it. Its really heavy and a bit noisy. As for the dust collection I will tell you that it also is very dependent of the quality of shop vac that you use. It you connect it to a heavy duty vacuum it will collect alot of the dust. If you have a weak vacuum then you get what you pay for. Overall it saves you alot of time and dust so that you are not breathing alot of dust. The major component here is that it reduces that amount of dust . Now there are more expensive sanders but in my opinion no reason to spend that much on a sander unless you are sanding the white house, so this will do a good job. their are tons of review good and bad because people also buy this thing and also use it wrong. This will get the job done for any diy or professional but it is very heavy, no super compact ( tip i used to keep the box it came in as a case). For ceilings and walls if not too careful it can dig into the wall or ceiling. So the major benefit is dust control and speed. hope this helps you save some money by making a better decision if so hit like.

Good value for a decent tool
When paired with a Bauer 9 gallon shop vac, there wasn't an overwhelming amount of dust. It's pretty easy to setup and use. The balance isn't great, but come on... it's a pole sander. The motor is on the head, and that's the heaviest part. A little practice and common sense and it works fine. The dust collection is dependent on aligning the holes in the disks with the holes on the pad, and the power of your vacuum, so that's something to keep in mind. It works pretty good on hardwood floors, but it is underpowered for that application. For flatting mud on joints, it's got plenty of power. If you're doing a lot of drywall or any ceilings, I would recommend this. It is a bit of a luxury tool, but it's nice to have.

Get the work done!!
I really liked it and worked very well , I attached it to my small vacuum so very little dust , is hard to do the sanding on ceilings but I’m a contractor and nothing is easy! So far so good for one day of sanding with this sander.

Great product. 90% perfect except …
Great product. Nice suction. The extension is nice. Does the job fast. Cons. It’s heavy…. Ceilings your arms will feel it. The on/off switch…. Absolutely horrible. Not easy to turn on and if you bump it while working it shuts right off. Very very frustrating. I’d give 5* if it weren’t for the switch

Life saver
Instead time I used a potty knife to take down popcorn ceiling and I decided to give this a try. Man that was awesome !! I took down around 2500 feet of unpainted popcorn in a day. It is a little heavy with the motor being on top but with the price totally worth it even for one time use. Make sure to buy a couple of extra sanding papers as they wear out fast. I used medium speed and 120 grit for the majority of the job and 60-80 for a spot painted areas.

Works as described
It actually almost makes sanding fun. Yes, it's heavy (compared to a sanding pole) but saves a ton of elbow grease. It does a great job of blending butt joints and is virtually dust free even using my small Ridgid vac. My only complaint would be the on/off switch is in an area where your hand often goes so it shut off a few times while using. Also a longer cord would have been better though extension cords are cheap. All in all it has a nice solid feel, the motor is strong, and the disc didn't chatter or leave any gouges. The vac hose is very flexible and stretches so it wasn't an issue. I used 150 and 180 grit at 3/4 speed and it barely scuffed the drywall paper even after prolonged contact. Would have been good if it came with a case to prevent damaging the brush skirt during storage/transit but Amazon has a huge selection of plastic cases which will work. If I get a couple of year's of intermittent use from it, then it's well worth the price. Mine came with a spare set of motor brushes and an allen key to remove the backing pad. If I did drywall only for a living, I'd probably go with a PC or Festool brand mainly for weight savings, however for my occassional usage, I'm pleased.

Just buy it time and shoulder saver
I can't believe I have been sanding by hand for 15yrs without one of these! Its so easy to use and even with my rigid vacuum it sucked alot of the dust. Honestly I love it its well made I was able to go around the electrical boxes with ease um yeah buy it its totally worth it. I am surprised at how well built and how it preforms I was able to do 1300sqft with easy by myself.

It works!
I am getting rid of stucco/popcorn ceilings. The first room was a disaster. The ceiling had been painted many times. I sprayed with water and sanded by hand. The room was extremely humid. I had to apply many coats of plaster to build up to cover the stucco bumps that remained. The walls kept producing bubbles after painting. I believe it was because of what ran down the walls from the sprayed ceiling. I quickly started looking for this tool I've been hearing about, that can knock down stucco. This was it. I can only review on the second room where the ceiling had not been painted previously so the stucco came down easily. It went lower than I could in the other room by hand. So much less mess. You attach your vacuum to this and away you go. I also sand the old paint on the walls before plastering. It was a little hard on the shoulders as you are holding it up but at least that was spread out over two shoulders instead of one scraping by hand. I recommend this product.

Great budget drywall sander
I used this sander to smooth out my plaster ceiling by skim coating several then sanding it down with this power sander. The included shoulder strap hook broke on my second use which kind of sucked because I was using it to help offset the weight of the head while using it. My arms and shoulders got quite tired holding it up against the ceiling. It did do an excellent job with the included 120 grit sandpaper. The dust collection worked reasonably well with my shopvac (with drywall dust bag and a better particulate filter.) I did find that the head would pour out a bunch of drywall dust when I flipped it back over. Eventually I just expected it and planned my dismounts more carefully to minimize the dust spread. If you haven’t used one of these before, it takes a bit to get used to, especially when placing it against and removing it from the ceiling to prevent the edge from digging in. I also used it to smooth out a wall I coated to transition from new to old drywall. In this application it was extremely easy to control and was much less fatiguing. If I was a pro using this daily, I’d buy a more lightweight and balanced tool, but for DIY use, it is a very good deal.
