I found out about a year ago that my girl does not like a bit in her mouth, so a friend of mine loaned me a hackmore and she reacted well to it. So I wanted to get my own and decided to start out on the lower end of the price range. For my money this has worked wonderful so far. You can ride her around the barn in a halter, so this gives me better control out on the trail.

Great side-pull bridle

My 19 year old gelding and I are very happy with this! Leather is soft and the rope is not too abrasive or stiff. Wish the manufacturer would provide fitting instructions though.

Quality product

I like Weaver products, as you get well-made tack for a reasonable price. But, unfortunately, I had to return this bridle because it was very big. My horse has a cob-size head and I could not make it fit. Excellent customer service!

Harsh and abrasive nose band...

I am very disappointed to find how harsh and abrasive the rope pieces are across the nose. So abrasive in fact I may not even use it as I'm nervous it'll damage my mares nose. There is very little bend or give to it and the side knots are huge with big hard globs of glue covering them. The only reason I gave it a 3 was because the rest of the bridle is very nice. And I may just cut the rope off and order a new nose band.

Couldn’t ask for anything better!

This product was a lifesaver. I was having so many issues with the other bridles my horse was using. Decided to give in a try this and it was like night and day. Easy to put on and use. Leather is great and it’s very sturdy. It was a wonderful price too!

Not average size

Had to send it back. We have a very average quarter horse with a very average size head. This bridle was way too small everywhere.

The nose band was way too hard and harsh on my horses nose.

The rope used across the nose was way too stiff. My horse found it very frustrating and it felt hard and uncomfortable for even me . Also this runs very small. I was barely able to get this to fit over my horses face. I was disappointed because the reviews and description made it sound like it was more gentle and not a harsh head piece. Not happy with it. Have not used it again and wont buy again. It was very expensive, for how cheap the material was.

Nice but nose band can be tricky

Looks nice and the leather was amazing quality however the noseband is very hard and rough and the curb strap was a tad small (fitted to a smaller QH cross)
