Very beautiful
Very compact and easy to assemble but be very careful while assembling because once you stick together and realize something isn’t correct it will be hard to pull it apart. So read the instructions carefully

Mod it
Gaps are bigger but it does what I expected. Added some mods to it for the base and made it more solid. The tape makes the gaps bigger but unless you hand craft stuff or pay way more this is what you get. It will work for a year or longer or until I get bored and do something else. ;)

Very happy with these
I think I finally got this figured out. I got one and put it together. It was a disaster! Turns out, when you peel the stuff off the adhesive, you have to be VERY careful or the adhesive stays on to the stuff you pull it off of. I didn't know. Some surfaces were sticky and some weren't. I also did not put the proper shelves in the right place, and was not able to put the back on (didn't matter; I don't need the back anyway). The second one I received the next day. I don't know if I was just more sane when I put it together, or if the previous practice helped! I had finally figured out about the ''sticky'' so this time I was VERY careful when taking off the stuff over the adhesive (cannot think what you call it). But this time, I was able to make the adhesive stay on the shelves for all of them (but there was one I really had to fight with to get the ''stuff'' off and keep the adhesive on. And for some reason, I was actually able to get the proper shelves in the proper place, and this one went together very nicely and seems sturdy. I am, however, VERY careful of it whenever I move it. The size is perfect for what I needed (be sure to measure and check all the sizes, as some people apparently are not doing that BEFORE they buy the product. My first one (the experiment) I am using, but am extremely careful with it. I am ordering more of them. I really like that I was able to put them together myself (I am NOT a very handy type person in that way). As a cancer survivor, I like the fact they are non-toxic, which is actually really hard to find anymore.

The verdict is still out
Looks good, not sure how sturdy they are as of yet, I wish it wasn’t held together with double sided tape and small wooden pegs

Limits per customer??
Why 5? Not 4 or 6 but 5 per customer. Like the world will be at a disadvantage if someone wanted 10? Or 20? My first time purchasing. And clearly the last as I hit my max. I reaaallly find 5 a useless # and now I can never have 3 equal sets of 2. That so completely baffles me. It's not even worth mentioning the only reason they can sit a man of these is because he carefully sat on two or together, the sturdiness parts pushed together but these will fall apart of be day on just one column. Good for what I wanted except I really needed SIX of the same color!!!

Better than expected
This is a great little shelf! I ordered two so I can stack them on top of each other under my desk. They have pegs to you can keep the top one from sliding on the bottom one - very good planning. They look great and serve their purpose well.

Solid value
Over time, I've bought around a dozen WayBasics products, most for either shoes or DVDs. They're really simple to assemble and hold up well. My first product from them is a monitor stand. It looks as good now as it did three years ago. This is not proper expensive furniture. I wouldn't dare put damp shoes away before they're completely dry. They seem a little pricey to me, but I'm willing to pay a little extra to be kinder to the planet. Overall, I recommend.

Affordable, sturdy and sustainable.
These are great storage cubes: perfect size for my needs, they look good, but are also lightweight and made from recycled, sustainable materials that are surprisingly sturdy. First one I built was a bit tricky and the sides fell down on me a couple times before I got the hang of it. Second one I had done in five minutes. No sweat. Putting the cubes together was actually kinda fun. Here are a few tips: 1. Use some wood glue for an easier build and sturdier final product. Just dab a little in the dowel holes before you put the dowels in. The adhesive tape is adequate, but it goes smoother with a tiny bit of glue. You don't need a lot. 2. Don't get frustrated when the first couple pieces don't stay upright on you. It takes a tiny amount of practice. After you put together your first cube, you could probably start cranking out like ten an hour. I think some of the reviewers here gave up too quickly and did not use glue like I did. 3. It is not meant to be picked up from the underside of the top piece, especially when there are books or other items inside. That will pull the top off. No adhesive is that strong. Screws in particle board aren't that strong either. Pick it up from the bottom or take everything out of it before you move it. Use common sense. That's pretty much it. I shopped around a lot for similar products but I kept coming back to this one. Finally I gave it a chance and I am glad I did. If you consider yourself capable of assembling a box, you can do this. It is cheap and lightweight, yes, but for all the right reasons. Best of all: Sustainability!

Works, but not really worth the money.
Wait for sales or something. This item is made from recycled paper and it mostly laminate on what feels like it should be some kind of corrugated cardboard. It's not wood. It's not worth $50. It is small and at most is worth around 30. There's a taller bookshelf around here for $38 in expresso at the time of writing.

Useless.
Ordered two at the same time and one came white, the other came as a sick cream colour, while the boxes were both marked White. Can't use the two of them together which was the plan. Useless.
