ATV WARN 63290 plow mounting plate- Honda Rancher 350

I purchased this plow system for my honda 2003 Honda 350 rancher. Decided on the WARN after many hours of research. It's a 3 part system all purchased seperately: With the mounting plate WARN 63290 In case you looking for the entire kit I also purchased: 1)push bar/plow base 78100 2)50" blade WARN 78950 The item arrived in perfect condition. Installation: Made of heavy duty steel and all the parts and instruction were indivually wrapped in plastic. I had to tip the atv on it's rear(like a wheelie) and mount the u-bolts on each side of the frame to mount the rear of the plate this placed the area near the front fender flaps. It was easy access with a 1/2" socket and end wrench. I had to drill two 5/16" holes to mount the front of the plate with the supplied bolts. This was also easy since the holes were pre drilled by the factory just needed to be a little bigger. I spend maybe 25 minutes on the mounting, and spent more time with preparing tools and getting the rancher on its rear end. In use: Very easy to attach. Drive the atv on top of the push tubes to where the mounting plate is aligned with holes on the push tube. I use a short 2x4 to lift it in place, then clip to the plate. Hook up the winch and ready to go. Very satisified with this purchase and can see years of work with this setup.

Plow Bent after first use - Disappointed

I was very excited to get this plow hooked up to my Honda Rancher to take care of my 50' cement driveway. After its first usage pushing approximately 5" of Midwest snow from my driveway to the street the blade twisted. Needless to say I am disappointed in this Warn Plow and the cheap Chinese steel it is comprised of, and if i had to do it all over again I would look for another brand. If you do decide to purchase this plow remember that you will need to buy a mount kit and push tube assembly. For my Honda Rancher I used WARN 63290 ProVantage ATV Center Kit Snow Plow Mount and WARN 78100 ProVantage Plow Base/Push Tube Assembly. The assembly itself was pretty easy if you are mechanically inclined but be prepared, the directions are useless. Also, there are sections of the directions that do not pertain to every model so you may be left with extra parts like I was. Also, when you go to attach your winch hook to the push tube assembly, the factory drilled hole is just under 1/2" in diameter and will not allow a winch hook to fit through as the directions show. I attached an anchor shackle (clevis) with a 7/16" pin diameter though the hole and the plow hook attaches nicely to the clevis. In short, I would look for another model that is made of better steel.

I've very pleased with it except that it takes some pretty serious ...

I've used this on a 50" Warn plow 4 times to plow many driveways and sidewalks. I've very pleased with it except that it takes some pretty serious prying to get it attached to the center mount itself. Thus the four stars.

Works

No issue with fitment on the 2001 rancher 350. You will need to get pins to hold the push tubes to machine. Does have the hardware for the winch cable to the push tube.

Well made

Although the instructions weren't clear, I found a video that helped in attaching this to my 4 wheeler. The mounting for the plow is well constructed and I would recommend it.

Works great

Very strong. Annoying to install and must be careful of bottoming out. You will bend the mount and the plow will not line up on the push pin holes

Simple install, works well.

Went on easy. I installed this over top of my skid plate, so it took a little longer, but it was still pretty simple. Has held up well over the winter. My suggestion is to keep the pins in even with the plow off during winter driving. Otherwise the holes can ice up and be a pain when you reinstall the plow.
