Great Value, Assembly Easier With Experience
I picked up this unit on a Cyber Monday deal. I was looking for something that was primarily wood vs particle board or MDF and this fit the bill. I had a pretty good idea of what I was in for after reading the other reviews, and knew I wanted to use longer legs than were supplied so I could end up with a higher finished height. To be fair, I've worked in some version of theatrical scenic carpentry for over 20 years, so putting this together wasn't as difficult for me as it might be for someone else. I also could have built a nightstand from scratch, but with lumber prices what they are currently...this was a better value in both time and money and will serve my needs easily. My only gripes are that one side had a small split at what ends up being the bottom of the piece. I don't expect it will affect the stand overall (photo attached). The other was that one of the drawer runners had a bit of a bow to it after installation, so I added a middle screw to tighten that up (see photo). I did need a drill, drill bit, countersink bit, and my own screw to accomplish this, however. Though the instructions tell you to not use power tools (and I definitely wouldn't use a corded drill for driving the screws), if you're experienced with and have an electric screwdriver or a battery powered drill available to you, it makes the whole process much quicker and smoother. Just turn down the speed and dial down the clutch a bit if your drill has those settings, otherwise just go easy on the trigger and take your time. One other liberty I took was waxing the drawer runners before installing. Those pieces of wood seemed a bit rough and I wanted to make sure the drawers moved as smoothly as the could. I had some paraffin blocks handy, but you could use an old candle if you have one on hand. Just rub them down with it and a bit in the grooves on the drawer and they should move nice and easy afterward. My replacement legs were just delivered as I was assembling this, so they'll need to be sprayed with clear coat before I can install those. I'm fully intending to use the drill to drive those screws too, but I also happen to have a robust bit set that includes a handful of standard and metric sized hex driver bits (not something I'd assume most people have easy access to). If you have, or could borrow one of those multi-hex key handles, I would think that would be easier on the hands than the one included. It takes a 4mm hex wrench, though a 5/32 fits pretty well also. If you've got a bit of carpentry or construction experience, it's pretty straightforward to put this together. It took me around an hour, but I was taking my time with it. If you have little to no experience and are strictly using hand tools, be patient with it or perhaps look at something that's easier to assemble. Again, I feel like it's a pretty good value for a product in the $100 range and if you're handy it's not too bad to assemble.

Beautiful Nightstand
I've bought these nightstands in the past from Target. They are under "Stiva Classic Mid-century Modern 3 Drawer Nightstand". We moved, downsized and sold them, but I knew I wanted the same ones once we settled. I found these on Amazon and they are identical to the Target ones. From the looks, to the material, to the way they are assembled. Exact same nightstands, different name. My husband assembled one in about 1.5 hours. The instructions are easy to follow, it's just time consuming. They look beautiful and are very sturdy. I have no issues about a "chemical smell" other reviewers mentioned. I highly recommend these!! I gave 4 stars simply because they are really time consuming to put together.

The chemical smell is overwhelming! I still have the drawers open to air it out.
You need to assemble every piece. My husband and I worked well together, as I was the reader and got the next items ready while he did the assembly. It still took both of us over 2-3 hours to assemble first nightstand. Instructions worked for us. We have nicks on the nightstand already that occurred during assembly. We were very careful and used towels for protection too. The drawers have gaps between them. It's been 2+ weeks. We are not looking forward to putting the second one together. The chemical smell is overwhelming! I still have the drawers open to air it out. I don't feel like I can store medicines, clothing, food, etc. in the drawers as they will take on the horrible smell. I really hope the smell goes away. What kind of chemical do they use anyway? I don't think we will order from Walker Edison again. It made me scared when right on the box it states how to do returns. Congrats to the packing engineers. They used just about every inch and packed the items well. We would not be able to return the item because we could never fit everything back in the same box.

Ehhhh. It’s pretty janky.
I consider myself pretty savvy with putting together furniture. I put together (by myself) my 8 drawer ikea dresser, my 7 drawer ~tall~ ikea dresser, walker Edison TV stand, and plenty of other less impressive items.. All are much bigger and more complicated than this little night stand so basically what I’m getting at is I’m kinda a pro. I used my electric screw driver and it’s absolutely a necessity for assembling this. I will say the instructions were very vague. For someone who has not put together furniture before this would be pretty difficult. Also screwing on the legs honestly hurt so bad and I don’t think my thumb will ever feel the same. All in all it took me about an hour and a half.. aside from assembling it, it does seem pretty janky . The drawers sit lopsided unless pushed a certain way (don’t think that’s my fault but it could be) and also there are no wheels for the drawers? I have never seen anything like that so I’m not sure if it’s common… but I can’t imagine it’ll last very long being opened and closed often with no wheels on the track. If you don’t stare at it too long it looks nice. So I give it a 4/5. Personally if I had i could go back and spend a little more $$ for the ikea version I probably would have done that. This piece feels pretty cheap but it’ll do for the time being

The parts need to be marked much better then they are marked
Dislike to many unmarked parts for assembly. Like good quality for price paid.

Very happy with these nightstands
I'm very happy with the nightstands. I ordered two and didn't assemble them for 3 months so I was worried that if something was wrong I couldn't return them. It took me a while to assemble them but if you follow the instructions they are very clear (I don't know why people say the opposite, i feel they are extremely well done, simple and intuitive) but in the end the nightstand are pretty sturdy and stable. The wood is real wood, not like that compressed second quality material that you can find in many pieces of furniture that are even more expensive. If you look close you can see some of the wood patterns through the white, but I like it. It shows it's real wood and make it more vibrant in my opinion. The holes were all in the right spot, and didn't have defective pieces. You need some strength as each piece has 60-70 screws that you have to screw into the wood (there are not holes for that but pine wood is soft). I'd recommend using a drill to do it quickly and without effort.

These wooden pegs were missing. Please send them as the dresser cannot be put together without them.
I can’t really review since I can’t put it together due to the missing wooden pegs as they were missing but could not submit without rating.

Just primed and not painted!!
I opened the box and the first thing I noticed was that most of the parts appeared to be primed and not painted. Paint would usually hide all the defects/marks on the wood - but I could clearly see them through what they call as paint. Paint also leaves a glossy finish - there is no glossy finish on this as it is either just 1 coat of paint or just primer. May be the pieces I received were defective - I won't waste my money on this again.
