A much better box than I expected, very inexpensive for the quality
It looks very fancy. It seems sturdy, with a wood sound when rapped and a leather-ish finish over the wood. The clasp lines up, the sides meet well with the lid, the hinges are fine, the fake buckles are fairly well aligned (see photo), and the velvet-paper interior seems well-attached (altho not quite flat in the curved corners under the lid, so may wear there over time). The metal hinges have a mechanism to keep the lid from opening more than about 90ish degrees. It should handle toys or gaming stuff (cards, miniatures) or whatever and be good to carry by the handle. I wouldn't store my socket set in it. The handle seems quite well attached. It goes very nicely with the fancy fountain pens and journal notebooks I've bought, even using the same sort of clasps. Perfect for such a usage, looking good on my desk. Not quality enough to gift to your friend to store his Rolex collection in, but it's $25, ya know? I'm not sure what QC problems others experienced, but I'm pleased to say that it seems even better and higher quality than I expected.

I bought this because I was looking for a "masculine" or neutral gift, and this popped up with a HUGE discount in exchange for an honest review. How could I say no? I am SO glad I bought this thing! I wish I'd bought two, because this elegant and sharp-looking little chest will be staying with me. The inside is covered in that thin velvet/felt stuff that's only "sort-of" soft, but does the job. I'm not too happy with the hinges, as they are of a variety that tends to fail sooner than it should. There are small inconsistencies that might usually get something put in the "Irregulars Bin" and sold at a discount, but I'm giving the benefit of the doubt that these were only sold to people like me who got the major discount coupons. If I'd paid more, I'd be mad. It's bigger than I expected and has a classy, classic look to it that I also wasn't expecting, even though it's vegan (faux leather). It could really use a shelf inside, or movable dividers, in order to make use of all the space, though. Unless you're storing tall items in it, most of the roominess goes to waste. =

Perfect for the Minimalists Keepsakes.
I absolutely love the design, but they sent this to me in a box that was big enough for me to sit in, and I'm not exactly a small person. The box itself is gorgeous and I use it to store my keepsakes as I am a minimalist and don't like to keep unnecessary things around that add to clutter. Of course, not everyone can completely get rid of all sentimental possessions, so this has helped me keep little things that hold sentimental value. If it's too big for the box, I don't need it and it will be given away to bring value to someone else's life. The only problem with the box is the felt bottom that just started to peel off, but that can be fixed with some glue. I would also avoid putting really heavy things in here as the latch looks like it could be somewhat delicate. Of course, it's really not big enough to store something that would be the right weight to damage the latch. Overall I am super satisfied with this little treasure chest!

Great Gift for a Cute Storage/Decor
Bought for my husband to store his gem collection, works great for smaller items! The only issue we've had is the screws that hold in the top handle piece came loose. Super glued it, and haven't had an issue since. But, beware it may be necessary to be prepared for.

Nice sized dresser valet, very roomy
I ordered this dresser valet for my husband's nightstand. He is CONSTANTLY losing keys, his wallet, leaving money laying around etc. I figured this would be a very nice solution for that problem, a place to put everything. Im very pleased with the size of the item, although Im not sure it's super well made due to how light weight it feels. I also wish it came with a tray insert so you could make better use of the inside storage. I do like the trunk look of this valet as well, it adds a nice decor to my bedroom. All in all I am pleased with this valet and feel confident recommending it. I think it's definitely manly enough for the guys, while still looking pretty for the women:)

Perfect for D&D
I gave this as a gift to my 21 year old son for his Dungeons and Dragons paraphernalia. He loves it. It is a little flimsy but as he is older, he takes good care of it so I don't anticipate any problems despite how thin the wood is and that it appears that it would not stand up to much abuse. The only problem we had was the latch. It was too flimsy and bent immediately. We replaced that and we are now happy with it. The handle is a nice bonus for him to take it to games.

Interesting little box. I opened it having read many reviews on here telling me just how bad it was. I was not interested in it's durability as I bought it to house items for Christmas as part of the wrapping for the present, but I was surprised. My box is well assembled, appears to be quite tough, opens closes seamlessly, and appears to be good quality. Unlike other reviews here, I think it will last a while. I wouldn't buy it to travel with, it is certainly not designed to be moved around or be durable for that, but for sitting on a shelf and holding small items, it will do the job, and look great doing it.

Pleased with purchase
I guess I was looking at the picture of the item on a small laptop screen but it looked like there were dividers between the items in the chest. However I received today and its one single open space. With that said this is a very nice and well constructed item that will be put to good use. Will probably pick one up for the office as well as the outside has very nice external details and looks like it costs a lot more than it really does. I gave it 4 stars simply because I think they can improve this by having organizational dividers rather than one open area. If you are not concerned with dividers then this will probably be 5 stars for you.
