I love this Vera Bradley Performance Twill Large Cosmetic Bag despite its pricey tag - but let's be honest here, we're talking about a well-known brand name, and Vera Bradley isn't known for discount products you'd find in big box stores. In the grand scheme of things, however, I personally find the quality to be outstanding, and it's made to last for years and years. Not only that, but despite its seemingly compact size, it expands out in ways that are deceptive - in a good way. You can hold surprising amount of makeup items and brushes in this thing, and it sorta expands out nicely in a way to create a little more wiggle room. This one in particular is nice and roomy. The addition of a front zippered pocket to hold even more items (small ones, anyhow - like extra lipsticks, liners, brushes, compacts, etc.) creates a little more space to work with, too. It doesn't take up too much real estate in my luggage when I travel, yet still manages to hold an impressive amount of items. The interior of the main compartment has a clear, plastic covering over it, make it super easy to contend with spills and messes. I mean - we're talking about makeup, here - it happens to the best of us, and there's nothing worse than trying to clean stains and such from the inside of something like this when blushes and eyeshadows crumble, foundation leaks a little, lipstick gets smeared on it, etc. This one is just ridiculously simple and easy to clean with this kind of interior lining, and it looks brand new each and every time you clean it. The outer material is a soft quilted pattern that is cushy to the touch, and the zippers are super hardy. I love that the material is water resistant, and it's just really hardy and durable in build. Again - cleaning it is a breeze, and it's resistant to scuffs and scratches, too. I would not be surprised if this lasted me for the rest of my life, and I'm in my 40's. True to almost every Vera Bradley product I've ever received, this is just a very well-crafted and excellent quality twill cosmetic bag that's built to last, and it looks nice, too. I love it - it gets two thumbs up from me!
