Fast Food Tray that doubles as an Ink Tray

O.k.. It's a tray. We've all used them and we all know what they look like. So to say this is the greatest tray ever in the whole wide world would be a bit of an overstatement. But what I can say about it is that it is very sturdy and well made. Not at all flimsy. It is exactly what you would expect to see in a grade school cafeteria and built to withstand that type of use and abuse. Me, personally... I bought it to sit underneath an Epson printer. They built in obsolescence with ink overflow pads that last only maybe six months to a year of normal use and then you have to buy a new printer or pay almost that much to have the pads replaced. Enter the copy count reset tool and a lunch tray underneath (with an absorbent towel or pad on it) and no more problem. The seven bucks for this tray was WAY less expensive than replacing that $300.00 printer so I am sold! In fact, there are some other applications around the house that I have since thought of that I will be buying a few more for now that I know how well they are made :) My only issue is that the measurements given are the external measurements and so the printer actually sits on the rim. But just knock off an inch from each and you have the internal measurements of the actual tray part in case that matters for your application.

Works as a storage tray for cabinets.

I bought these trays to use in deep, lower cabinets in my house for holding cabinet contents (the 14" x 18" size. The trays come in larger and smaller sizes and in several different colors, so you can find some that match (or at least don't clash with) almost any size cabinet opening and decor. Each holds quite a lot of items and are easy to slide in and out of the cabinets so you can get to items in the back without pulling out everything in the front - keeps you from having to stoop or get on your knees to get to cabinet contents. But, unlike other types of bins and storage boxes, you can still clearly see everything in the cabinet without obstruction. They're sturdy enough to hold moderately heavy items, such as soap refills, cleaning products, etc. This may be an unusual use for a food tray. They aren't exactly fancy, but they're convenient, they work well and they're inexpensive (unlike a lot of storage bin solutions). They will also help contain small spills or leaks of liquid or powder contents and keep them from staining or damaging cabinets. I haven't yet tried them on higher shelves, but they may work for that as well.

I bought 2 of these to use. The main purpose was for eating on for times when we would be eating in the living room. We found many more uses for them though. Playing and bulding legos with the kids (when you pour out those bags of legos, the little pieces tend to fly off and away). These trays make transporting new lego creations from room to room so simple now. I've also let the kids play with kinetic sand on them to keep the mess contained and to carry other items back and forth through rooms. I imagine these will be great for the summer time to take food in and out. These were a great purchase. I am completely happy with them.

Convenient

Inexpensive handy trays

These trays are a good bargain for the cost. I have yet to find a tray-full of food and dishes that they can't handle. When fully loaded, they can feel somewhat "bendable" but do the job nonetheless. After I had these for a while, I found myself using them fairly frequently to gather and move assorted small objects. Also good under potted plants. Handy. I'm pleased to have them.

Acceptable but I Wish the Tray was More Rigid

I have a couple of these and now that I have had them a while, they both have warped a little. They simply do not lay flat on the counter until you put weight on them. I was really hoping they would be more like the hard (fiberglass?) trays from when I was in college. I find I have to hold both ends of the tray when loaded with items as it will bend and feels unstable. I wish they were more rigid where I could carry the tray with one hand and my beverage in the other.

Perfect for my husbands espresso machine

Perfect for my husbands espresso machine. Every once in a while water gets underneath the footed machine. God forbid my husband move the machine to wipe up the water. The water sitting has dulled a couple spots on my granite counter. This tray fits perfectly under the machine allowing him to be a slob and not, in turn, damaging my countertops.

It was a gift for my nephew.

My nephew works very long hours. When he gets home at night, all he wants to do is shower, fix something quick to eat in front of the TV and go to bed. I bought the Fast Food Tray to make his meal more enjoyable and help with the clean up. The size was perfect for plate, glass, and even a small side salid bowl. He loves it. He also uses it to carry times from the kitchen to the dinning room table when he has guests over. Great price, practical gift and will be well used and appreciated.
