Flimsy
I was excited about this bc of how compact it is when it's folded. But with that compactness comes a flimsy design. My 2 1/2yr old weighs about 25 lbs. When I put her onto this potty seat it sunk down & moved too much. Causing her to absolutely refuse to go potty when we go out places. So we ended up just getting a regular, not so portable, potty seat that doesn't fold. We keep it in a plastic grocery bag & lysol it after every use. So for this seat yes the portability of it is great. But I wouldn't recommend it if you have a toddler that's new or sensitive to big potty training.

Great for travelling
I bought this before going on a week-long vacation with our two year old. While he is not potty trained yet, I'm so glad I decided to take it anyway. He used the potty with this because he wanted to impress family we were travelling with, and it worked great! It doesn't take up a lot of space and folds up into a rectangular box if you will, with a little bag to keep it from touching everything else in your bag that you throw it in. Simply fold this seat out, sit it on the potty, and it has little tabs that stick down to keep it from sliding around too much when your kiddo sits on it. The top is squishy and comfortable, and it is very lightweight, as I said also, it folds up pretty small, which all makes it perfect for flying or just being on the go. The only thing I have noticed with this potty seat so far is that it doesn't work as well on toilet seats that are more circular in shape, while it fits the oval, longer shaped toilets almost like a glove. So if you were planning on purchasing this for the toilets specifically in your home, pay attention to this. It isn't to the point where your kiddo will fall in, but they will wobble a little if it isn't fitting exactly, which freaked my son out a little deterring him from using it in places that it wobbled. For the price, this is great to keep in a carry bag for the on-the-go mom or for vacations. I would buy it all over again and will recommend it to others. This could be the only potty training tool you use if it fits your toilets well.

Like this travel ring
This is the best option we've found for a travel ring. Because it sits against the BACK of the toilet seat, there seems to be more support against flexing. If you plant you little one's bum as far back on the back-most point of the potty ring, it actually gives decent support. The area that flexes is more in the middle of the seat so the actual toilet seat (instead of the potty ring) will end up supporting the thighs. It is short on elongated toilets so expect toddler legs to definitely touch that area (cover with paper first!). The ring opening is small (as with all travel rings). Because the ring sits at the back instead of the front though, there is still adequate room for pee to make it into the toilet instead of on your kid's clothes. The cushiness definitely adds bulk when folded, but it also is the closest in feel to a regular potty ring that you may be using at home on a regular basis. It is definitely NOT as plumped up as theMommy's Helper Contoured Cushie Tushie Potty Seat but does add MUCH more padding than plastic. Overall, this is a really good product despite the design compromises to make it portable. If the company designed one that was specifically for elongated toilets (alter the flex points by making the front wings a little wider so more of that section sits on an elongated toilet) and added rubber stops like on thePRI Folding Potty with Handles, White granite , they'd have a true travel potty winner.

Eh.....Get the Pottette...
I bought this because it just looks like a great product. It is a good idea that just hasn't been fully executed. I love the padding and the comfort of this seat when out and about, but the stability just falls short. I ended up buying the Pottette 2-in-1 blue/yellow seat a few months ago and it just addresses some of the issues this seat cannot. When you have to use the dreaded gas station restroom with this item your little one has nothing to hang on to. You also have to realize that the larger the seat the less stable this seat will be and most public restrooms have larger/elongated seats. Pros: Love that it folds up and is very compact in it's own bag. Takes up less space than the Pottette. Definitely more cushy comfort, but lacks the stability of the Pottette. Costs less than the Pottette. Easily cleanable. Cons: Only serves one function. The Pottette can be its own standalone potty. Sense of stabilty, can be shaky. Not as universal as the Pottette. Can't be used on very large/elongated seats well. This seat is ok and a good value, but it you are going to get an on the go seat, save yourself the hassle of making this a craigslist ad and just buy the Pottette 2-in-1 potty. *I do want to add that I love the Mommy's Helper Step Ladder Potty for home use and it has been the best potty training purchase I have made to date. Hope this was helpful! Happy Training! It's an adventure :)

The best solution on the market make it easy to forgive its single fault: durability.
People are pretty critical of this things life-span. Mine has held up well over the last three months with my 2.5 year old daughter (~30lbs) but I decided to write a review because I just noticed one of the hinges is about to come off, and was looking at ordering another product. However, I'm buying another one. All of the other products either don't fold, cost substantially more, weigh more or aren't padded. Since it lasted well over 3 months and still works, with semi daily use and bordering the end of potty training, it's simply worth $10 bucks. Could it be made better? Sure. It loses a star for that. I mean, it's $10 bucks and the best featured product available. And as another post mentioned, the designed lifespan (quality) is probably intentionally implemented for sanitary reasons. This is not antimicrobial plastic, the cushion padding is filled with foam and there are lots of crevices and joints (hinges) where bacteria will grow that simply can't be adequately cleaned. Then throw in this is a toddler training seat and...yeah, I don't know if I WANT it to last a long time.

Very handy
Very handy toilet seat to have out and about. It is rather small and although it does fit most toilet seats ok if they wriggle it could quite easily slip down the loo! Also because it is a bit on the small side when on the toilet it does bend and flex quite a bit with the weight of my toddler on it abd shes only 26lb so not massive. Still happy with it though as its light weight, compact and handy

Great wee product
I have to say I was a little nervous buying this product after the reviews I read. I needn't have worried. This is one of the best toddler products I've purchased. (Also purchased the 'my little potty' travel potty.) My little girl didn't mind going to our toilet as we had a seat insert but really didn't feel secure on the 'big' toilet and preferred the potty. We wanted the potty to be an option only if a toilet wasn't available so I began my quest for a solution and this worked a treat. It's fitted onto every toilet she's come across with me positioning it for her. She will now go to any toilet with no hassle. She feels comfortable thanks to the padding and tells me she wants her seat. Between this and the travel potty she was trained in less than a week and with no hassle. She's confident and has no potty training issues. The bonus is it folds up really neatly and fits into my toddler bag no problem. The fact it folds and has it's own bag also makes it discreet. It was well worth the money to us and I have already recommended it to friends and family with toddlers.

A life saver product - excellent
We needed some thing for our 2 and a half year old to use out and about as he refused to sit on a public toilet without a toddler seat so we had to carry around the bulky padded seat which was not ideal ! Then saw this on Amazon, obviously read all reviews about toddlers almost falling into the toilet and had some reservations but in the end decided we had to take the chance as really needed something less bulky and transportable. What a god send this has been. As long as you position it at the back of the toilet it more than sturdy enough and our little boy is solid (heavy) and it takes his weight no problem. What a great invention and very easy to clean which makes it hygienic. We took the chance with this product and it worked for us would give it 10 stars if I could it is very compact and a truelly excellent product. the hole where you pee is quite small but as long as the boys put their tail in the gap it's no problem. Also more hygienic than sitting your little one on public toilet seats!

wouldn't be without it
Bought this for my 2 yr old daughter to assist her on the toilet. The day it arrived she asked to use it and we haven't looked back. She is now fully toilet trained and we haven't needed a potty as we take This out with us everywhere. It was very useful on our recent visit to the beach, were the toilets are not the cleanest. I did hesitate in buying it at first after reading some poor reviews, however if you do push it to the back of the toilet as stated it doesn't collapse, my daughter is an average 2 yr old. The seat is compact when folded and it comes with a very useful washable bag, which I also store my anti back wipes in for cleaning after use. The whole thing fits nicely into my other Babys changing bag along side all the other things in there. all my friends and family think this a great idea and 2 of my friends have decided to get their own.

Really poor design, dangerous to use. Will not use a second time and would definitely not recommend.
First time I’ve ever written a bad review on anything but this really is very poor. The problem is that it has nowhere near enough grip, and it is actually dangerous to use. First (and only) time we used it, it fit the toilet seat space fine so it wasn’t a fitting issue. It was a standard size toilet seat in a public venue. But as soon as my 3 year old shifted position it slipped down into the toilet space and she fell with it, banging her waist on the inside side of the toilet seat. I will not be using it again (it took a lot of work to get my daughter to trust sitting on the toilet again, I could not risk that happening again) Shame because it looks nice, and the padding is nice and soft but the design is flawed in my opinion. Needs a much, much more adhesive surface to grip the toilet seat properly.
