Even better than I expected.

I am very happy with this. Before I replaced this part, my oven had 2 problems: 1. For years the thermostat seems to have been drifting. The oven would get hotter than I set it. I had to keep adjusting the oven temp knob to keep calibration reasonably accurate. But it kept getting worse. 2. Once in a while (especially at temp of 450 degrees or higher) the oven would not turn off at all. I had to turn off the gas at the supply line. I bought this new safety valve to address problem #2 and it seems to have addressed BOTH problems. I am a relatively handy guy and I considered this part to be pretty easy to install. Though it wasn't convenient to work in the back end of the oven. If you're not comfortable with Do-It-Yourself, or with gas appliances, then have a professional do it.

Old Kenmore oven works great again.

The valve fit just fine and was easy to install. The picture made it possible to select this valve even though the mfg. numbers were not an exact match. Now I can make my pfeffernusse for St. Nickolas and Christmas cookies.

Oven Safety Valve worked out very well.

This oven safety valve worked perfectly. I did have to adjust the flame by tightening the nozzle down as far as it would go but now our 22 year old stove works great.
