I bought these to use for cold-weather biking. By "cold weather" I mean temperatures at or below freezing. I couldn't find the Castelli Diluvio neoprene gloves, but these seemed comparable. Fit: they fit as described. The medium gloves I ordered fit snugly and comparably to other medium gloves. Some of the seams in the fingertips are not as smooth as I would like and might lead to blisters if worn long enough. Dexterity: relative to other gloves of similar or greater warmth, these provide good dexterity. Grip: these provide excellent bar grip, even when wet. As an added bonus, they provide a lot of cushioning. Warmth: I have a 20 minute bike commute. I bike at a moderate pace. These gloves are not able to keep my fingers warm at below-freezing temperatures. By the time my commute is done, my fingers are somewhere between painful and numb, depending on whether it is just freezing, or well below. As such these gloves perform worse than the alternative, which is bulky ski gloves. Bottom line: These will be my go-to gloves in wet weather, as they provide excellent grip, dexterity, and warmth at above-freezing temperatures. In dry weather, at or below freezing, they are not sufficient to keep my hands warm.

Glove tips if you're not using them for water stuff

I bought these gloves mainly to try them out in cold weather, not fishing or any water sports. If you're hunting with these gloves on, your hands will get cold. However, if you wear another glove over top of them to act as a wind-breaker, then they'll be better. Also, the gloves are great at insulating heat, so if you start working your hands a little (like squeezing a fist over and over) then you'll build up some heat. Also hand warmers will stay nice and warm inside them. So, if you're getting these gloves to wear in just cold weather, then you must consider these tips. The gloves are great insulators, they keep the heat in, but can get cold if you have no cover over them and you're just sitting motionless. However, these gloves work great, I just keep my trigger finger tucked away with the neoprene glove on, then when ready I can just shoot. Loss of dexterity isn't too bad with these.

I am not a diver, but I got these gloves because I help on a horse farm, and in colder weather I am out cracking ice and cleaning water troughs. Regular gloves would just get wet and very cold. I tried some "waterproof" gloves, but they were awful and VERY expensive. I saw these and wondered how they would do. Most of the reviews were positive, and the price seemed incredible. I got them, and I LOVED them! Like others have said before me, these won't keep your hands warm and fuzzy, but they will keep them nice and dry! If you are putting your hands in ice water for a long time, these are perfect. In warmer weather, when the water isn't frozen, these are very very comfortable to wear while working in water on the farm. You can't leave them stuffed in a pocket and expect them to dry, but then again that goes for anything, so just make sure to hang them up or something to make sure they dry. I have never had problems with them drying out slowly. I ordered a size small, and I am 5'4" with small but slightly thicker hands, so this was a perfect fit. Nice and tight, not baggy causing me to not be able to do anything with my hands when wearing them. So I am not a diver, but if you need waterproof gloves then these are just right!

Freezing Water? Freezing Weather? These are the gloves to purchase!

Ladies and Gentlemen, These gloves are simply superior. I use these gloves to care for my Black Angus cows, horses, and rabbits in the winter months to where the temperatures can fall below zero. Your hands are safe from freezing while wearing these gloves. In cold water or in cold weather, your hands and fingers are safe! I stayed up until 10:00 last night cleaning numerous rabbits cages...it was 6 degrees! My hands and fingers were comfortable, body temperature warm, and I had complete flexibility/full use of my hands as well. The gloves fit tight to prevent water or air from penetrating the gloves. Since the gloves are very flexible, you have full use of you hands and fingers. I'm most pleased with these gloves. The price is very acceptable as the gloves are made very sturdy for various types of uses. The material is absolutely soft, firm, padded, and very durable, yet it allows full flexibility of your hands and fingers. Thank you, manufacturer and Amazon.com for this outstanding product!

I've been looking for better ways to keep warm and also prevent my fingers ...

After getting hypothermia on a late October obstacle race last year, I've been looking for better ways to keep warm and also prevent my fingers from going numb and locking up when I'm wet, cold, and muddy. These did the trick. They are useless for the obstacles themselves (which I would prefer to do barehanded anyway), but perfect for keeping my fingers warm and mobile while running between obstacles, even when the gloves are soaking wet. Lost one star for sizing issues - even the smallest size is pretty big on me, but since I am only using them to keep warm and remove them when I need dexterity, it works well enough.

Good for the price.

I have used them probably a dozen times now (25-30 hrs) and they are holding up pretty well with the exception of the velcro strap that is beginning to show some very minor signs of wear. They are easy to don/doff and turning them inside out to dry is an easy task. The grip is decent and dexterity is pretty good with them as well. They do slowly leak through the seams but appear to have been glued. The water exchange is not really significant enough to be an issue for me but I use these for hand protection first and warmth factor second. I think I would probably go for thicker gloves if I was using them in water below about 60 degrees.
