The best Reacher and Grabber.
This Grabber and Reacher works the best! I purchased this one in 2019 and I'm back for another one in 2023. I've tried numerous reachers from other companies and they aren't as good. The suction cup ones are the worst. This one picks up small items and even some larger ones. It's also great to retrieve your walker and pull your wheelchair closer. I love this one and I'm purchasing it again. Reason? My husband almost broke it twice today and I don't want to be without it. I'm laid up with ankle replacement surgery and I use it all the time.

Grabber
Tool fits great in the hand and does well when picking up small items off the ground. Appears to be made of quality materials and has worked without issue. Happy with this item.

My Experience? This Grabber is Awesome
I will have had this Grabber for 2 years this November. I have used it on a regular basis and it has proven invaluable to me. For reasons I won't go into I often need to reach something that is either on the floor or on a shelf etc. and it has worked without issue every time. The tips of the jaws fit together tightly and with the rubber added I can pick up a piece of paper or something like a water bottle cap off the floor. I have also retrieved things like a 28oz bottle of Sriracha sauce (Huy Fong is the BEST!) off of a shelf. If the diameter of the item you are trying to retrieve is large enough for the jaws to fit tightly around it, you can lift it and bring it into your grasp or set it down on a table or shelf. But only squeeze as tightly as is needed to keep it from slipping out of the grasp of the grabber, if you put the gorilla grip on it I can see that this might possibly cause the jaw/s to break. Use finesse not brute force. Also when I'm sitting in my chair I cut up boxes for recycling and this grabber will fit around a stack of cut up pieces and I can deposit them in the recycling container near by. These are just some of the ways in which I have used this grabber. And while it is extremely useful for those who have issues standing or bending over I can see that this item would be useful to a healthy person. Have you ever had to get down on your hands and knees to retrieve something from under your desk? Or did you poke at it with a yard stick until it came within reach? I have a metal filing cabinet that sits next to my desk. And no matter how small you try and make the gap between the two, something will fall down in between. So again you can poke at the item with a yardstick and try and slowly free the item...or you can use this grabber to snag it. Donezo! I paid $18 for this grabber and I saw that at one time the price went up to $39. I would pay this price if need be. This grabber is that valuable to me. I can't speak to the issues that some who have left 1 star reviews have had. I don't doubt what they have said. If the plastic jaws break, that's that, you won't have a good impression about this grabber. But unless there was a manufacturing defect in the plastic it's hard for me to see how the jaws could break unless you used this to whack someone over the head or it impacted another hard object (There are few objects harder than some peoples' head). I often wait until I've had an item for a while before I write a review. And so far this grabber has stood the test of time for me and as I said, I would gladly pay twice the price I paid in the beginning. If you get one of these, have fun grabbing!

Acceptable quality, price a bit high
Pros: claw rotates, acceptable hand grip, can grab pretty much any tiny & small light items (soda/beer can yes, large glass beer no) Cons: no rubber handle, a bit flimsy feel, price a bit high

A grabber pole
I like this grabber so much better than the ones that fold up. That joint in the middle weakens the pole. This is very sturdy and easy to use. Love it!

Good grabber
I am a lady who lives in a nursing home. This grabber is lightweight and I have been using it everyday to pick up things and it still works. My only complaint is that the handle is angled where you squeeze and it does not feel natural. I have to keep my pinky part of my hand off the squeeze mechanism. I have to use fingers 1,2 and 3 to squeeze, not my pinky. If they would fix this it would be perfect but still a good quality product

Sturdy Parts
i am moderately disabled so have several "grabbers" placed strategically around my home. Eventually they wear out or break. This latest go around I bought both a 32" NOVA Medical Products 32-Inch Dragon Reacher and a 32" Unger 978490C Grabber. They are both fundamentally the same design & the prices are close to the same. The Nova has just a bit more refined action with slightly better fit and finish. The jaws of the Unger appear to be structurally a stronger design with reinforcing cross members in the molded parts. The Unger has a hook whereas the Nova has a post for hooking a sock or whatever.

As advertised - it is a solid, sturdy tool. I wish the length was adjustable - otherwise, great!

Love this tool
I use it to pick up branches that the birch and poplar trees drop all year in strong winds. I used to hate raking and bending to pick them up. Now I just walk around and pick them up and drop them in the wheelbarrow. Not the strongest tool so one can't pick up large heavy branches totally, but you can lift the ends high enough to grab them with your other hand. Wish I had bought one of these years ago.

Works great.
It works just as described. Picks up anything you want to. Easy to use as I have a little arthritis in my hands and not hard to squeeze at all. Had previously bought a cheaper one and no way is it as good as the Unger Grabber. Highly recommend.
