Easy fix for the tangling problem,,,

I had the tangling problem with these hooks. I'm guessing it's because I used a thin plastic curtain that allowed the hooks to get too close to each other when the curtain was pulled open. Anyway there is a quick and cheap fix. I used some 3/32" inside diameter plastic tubing (chain saw fuel line) cut into 1/4" lengths. I simply pushed the tubing onto the ends of the hooks and , voila, no more tangle! As far as the quality and function of the hooks I don't think I could be much happier. They are reasonably quiet on the shower rod, nice chrome plating and the little rollers are a nice touch. If Umbra had included my tubing tangle fix in the package I'd have given 'em 5 stars.

Solves two problems

This replaces a set of roller rings for my shower curtain that were always causing me two problems. First, it was a struggle to get the curtain off for laundering since the latching method was designed to pinch your fingers at least once when taking off/putting on the curtain. Secondly, the rings tended to flip over when I pulled the towel off the bar (I hang the towel on the shower rod so it drys quicker). These Umbra rings solve those two problems perfectly. No snaps or latches to deal with when taking the shower curtain off - simple as can be! Plus, the lower profile of the roller balls don't catch the towel when I pull it off in the morning so the rings stay in place. Nice construction. They are not big and beefy like others I've seen, but certainly up to the task of holding up the shower curtain and sliding back and forth easily. Nice minimalist design that looks nice and works well. Highly recommend.

Functional and easy to put on

I have never splurged for shower curtain rings, but I care enough to shop around. These are by far the easiest rings to install, because there is nothing to unclip: just hook your curtain(s) on and you're done. The easy on/off makes it much less daunting to launder the curtain more frequently (or at all). Although I do like the utilitarian/modern look of these, they are not as substantial as some other roller-style curtain rings that are now being copied by pretty much everyone. In fact, when I first opened the package, I wondered why I paid so much. However, they don't tangle like another reviewer indicates, and their easy installation is a huge plus.

Okay product, hard to attach

It was difficult to get the ring on the shower rod. I don't know if my shower rod is a little larger than average or if the shower rings are smaller than average. I had to push them up and them down really hard. Other than that, they look okay. Nothing fancy. Not distracting. Used these with the white rice paper shower curtain.

I like these hangers and the price was good

I like these hangers and the price was good, but there are always a couple that have a tendency to come off the rod when you are sliding the shower curtain back and forth. That being said, they are easy to work with and it is a snap to take my cloth curtain on and off for laundering. I would definitely buy them again.

Looks really good when they're on

It's probably my shower rod that's the fault--it's an add-on surround rod for a claw-foot tub, with a smaller diameter than most shower rods. I guess that's why some of the rings come off every time I open or close the curtain. Looks really good when they're on, though!

Multipurpose Shower/Pot Hooks

I keep pots/pans/other kitchen implements on a chain strung across one side of my galley kitchen. The cost of purpose made hooks for these items is ridiculous. I've got the tools to make my own, but not the time, so these are the best low-cost alternative I could find. They work like a champ.

When I saw these hooks I loved the fact that they did not require my arthritic hands to mash a ring to unclip. These totally stink when it comes to staying on the shower curtain rode! We have a high pressure shower head, the very subtle blow back from the shower head caused 7 of the hooks to fall off the rode and into the shower with me and inner curtain was left hanging very low and putting water on the floor. If you purchase these hooks have some really strong channel locks ready to smash them down so they stay on the rod!

Was happy to get these hooks - they look nice and are so easy to install. Dissapointment came when using- they keep coming off these pole! I was so convinced they would be great when I installed them that I did not keep the packaging, so probably I won’t be able to get a refund..,
