Just one gripe.
As someone who has used the tubshroom for years, I can confidently give some insight on this thing. We have the original gray one that's all rubber and it's been great. So great, we also have the strainer for the kitchen sink that's awesome too. I'm a licensed plumber and I know some clogs can be a bit hairy. The old version, along with this one both do their job really well. We have had no drainage issues using this product. We have to take it out and clean it every single day. Honestly, I have no idea how my wife still has a full head of hair! that said, I can probably fill the tub with all the hair we've thrown in the garbage if I had all the hair that we accumulated over the years. this version looks really nice in the tub and does come with adapters for different sizes. The only thing I can gripe on this version is, that it's not one whole piece like the original. The rubber adapter piece, which creates a seal, does come off every time I have to pull it out to clean. It's kind of annoying and I'm worried about the lifespan of the rubber piece. Time will tell, but we still have the original one if this doesn't work out. Note: before you put this into the drain or pulling it out to clean, make sure you run a little water so the seal can slide with the metal piece. Otherwise it tends to come off sometimes.

Works very well
I was on the verge of a tub replacement because our linkage plug locked up- this helped push the job further out. The only thing I would consider a mild CON is that sometimes when I pull the strainer out to clear the wrapped hair (very easy to remove the hair I might add) the gasket sometimes lodges in the drain which I need to remove with my finger. Really not that big of a deal, much better than having to deal with a developed clog. Some ppl just have to complain about everything- But... no more snaking a long twist tie down the drain and spinning it to catch the hair clog. Which works, but this is much better. It will stop all of our kids tiny toys and drains quickly like an open drain. I would out this on our other shower, but that one has a 4" drain and it would be a different set up.

Must Have For Long Hair Woes
I have a toe-touch drain stopper that has been a nightmare to clean out. I have long hair and would have to clean it out at least once a week, and the clean out requires tools and actually unscrewing part. This little handy device plops right in and you just pull it out to clean. I recommend cleaning it regularly (like every day) to keep the gook from collecting. But it looks ascetically pleasing and fits right into the drain and looks like it was an original piece. Functionally it is great. And the best part, the water can flow smoothly without backing up much (nothing worse than showering in a pool of water). I highly recommend it.

Best. Design. Ever.
This is the best shower hair strainer I have used. My previous one was made out of rubber and didn't allow for enough water flow. The shower would back up and the rubber would get slimy with soap scum and mold growth. This one is so much better. Water flows through freely and traps the hair out of sight. After several showers, just lift the shroom out of the drain and pull out the hair. It comes with a spare, larger gasket in case you have a larger drain opening, but I didn't need that.

Gets EVERY hair
My bathtub drain is smaller than average, but I was able to fit in the tub shroom with one of the many adapters it came in. I kept the other adapters in a Ziplock bag stored away just in case I move somewhere with a different drain. Also... it's easy to clean! I just pick it up after every few showers and grab the hair ring with some toilet paper and throw it into the toilet. It gets. every. hair. Even the little ones that come off when I shave! I couldn't believe it when I saw the little shaved hairs come off of the tub shroom onto the toilet paper that I use to clean it. Awesome product.

Incredibly good product. NOT with kids though..
This product is very well designed and very effective. Catches hair and has a very large surface area that allows water to drain quickly. That being said: It is designed to be removed from the drain and cleaned from hair in between showers/baths, which creates 2 caveats in which case it may not be for you. Caveat 1: If you have young kids who will play with it during the bath it can be a problem. If they remove it, you could end up with hair and little toys etc. going down the drain. We learned the hard way and had to stop using them. Caveat 2: It does need to be removed in between baths/showers to remove hair. It really is not a big deal, it slips out and then slips back in, the whole event takes ten seconds, but for people who will not remember/bother to do that without the hair staring them in the face (like it does with a basic simple hair catcher) it might not be the ideal product.

Works so well! But need to clean it nearly daily.
I moved into a new apartment and the tub was so backed up. After draino and snaking the drain, the water was running smoothly again and draining. I put this in rather than the cover that came in the tub when we moved in— we had problems with hair at the last apartment largely because mine is long and comes out all too often. I would say it would super well but the only downside it that it needs to be cleaned at least every other day if not daily or the water will back up again. But perhaps that’s just because my hair comes out too easy. Overall, cost less than buying bottle after bottle of drain cleaners and is better than risking popping a hole in the pipe while snaking it again but I do recommend making it a regular habit to clean it each evening or every other day! Also 100% worth it if you have older pipes— the building I’m in is ~40 years old and the maintenance guy himself was too nervous to snake the drain for fear of busting the pipe.

Works well
I bought one for our kids bathroom as they both have longer hair and we recently had to have a plumber in to remove a large hair clog. Catches all the hair, fits well, looks good, and is easy to clean. No rust so far. I ordered another one for our ensure as my wife has long hair also.

It Works!
I was skeptical but there was no need. This really works! Easy to pop into plug hole and remove. It catches all my hair that's shed whilst being washed and I can easily remove it afterwards and bin it without the worry that it's gone down the plug hole of the bath causing a blockage. The devise is then easy to rinse clean and leave to dry ready for next use. It's brilliant and I wish I had discovered it a lot sooner but hey ho, better later than never.

Does a good job and looks good too
Really happy with this little device. Easy to fit with it's different rubber seals for different sized shower oulets, looks and feels good quality. I've been using mine for a couple of months now and looks as good as new. Only two of us in my house and only I have long hair but I am really pleased at how effective it is! Easy to clean too. I do it daily and honestly it's just become part of the routine and not disgusting at all, easy to pull out of shower, quick wipe with a tissue to remove hair, brief rinse to get rid of any soap residue and pop back into shower. (I think it may get a bit gross to clean if you left it ages) Well worth the price to avoid having to unblock the drains!

Worth the price.
I have a lot of very long hair. Which is ironic because once the hair comes out of my hair it is absolutely disgusting to me, like, setting off my gag reflex level of disgusting. (I know, I know. But I never claimed to not be weird). As anyone with a lot of long hair knows, you shed like crazy and can lose a lot of it while showering and it can lead to drain clogs. Enter the tubshroom. I knew of its existence for many years, but never took the plunge of buying it. This changed when I got my own place and would thus, be responsible for cleaning out my drains. I’ll be honest, I do my best to catch the majority of my loose hair before it gets washed down, but for the stuff I don’t / can’t, the tubshroom works AMAZINGLY. It fits perfectly in my drain and catches all the loose hairs. I do find it’s a little challenging to clean, but this is not something that I would knock a star off for. I also like the stainless steel model because it looks like it’s just part of the tub. The included drain plug is about a 3.5-4 out of 5. Better than those beige rubber stoppers which I can’t pull out due to my short nails. It stops the water from draining but doesn’t have the best seal. Works for me, but may not work as well for others. Overall, recommend this product.

Brilliant little thing. Keeps all hair trapped.
