Looks great, but not worth the pricetag
Had great expectations for this release, but unfortunately it didn't work as expected. The process to adjust the sear and the speed are annoying to say the least and in my case the bottom adjustment screw stop rotating at some point. The travel distance is too short and limited. There are no reviews online or tutorials on how to adjust it properly. The Scott Archery Ascent is just a bit more expensive than this one but offers ore adjustment, easier to set and had good support material and reviews available, so I went with that one and so far I believe it's a better option

Horribly made
I’ve owned many hinge releases and had many other high end releases, this isn’t one of them. I liked the idea of it being heavy like my other brass releases, and the fact that Levi Morgan praises this and helped in design I figured it must be good. The initial set up is a ridiculous process with way too many moving parts. Once you get the click setting you want it shouldn’t be an issue however. The problem was, I couldn’t even set up the micro adjustment screws because they were locked up and stripped brand new out of the package. I saw that the original sear releases had this issue but I also read that this newer sear x had fixed all those issues. Nope! Absolutely terrible quality control with these. I didn’t even have this out of the package for 30 minutes before boxing it up and ready to return. I gave it a 1 star because it wouldn’t allow 0 stars.

I was contemplating buying this release for a long time but I was unsure because I couldn’t find any reviews or videos. I took a chance and bought it. This is my first hinge release so I can’t speak about the comparisons to other hinge style releases.What I can say is, it is very well made, smooth, and customizable. It’s a great release and I’m excited to use it more and more until I’m comfortable with the hinge style. The only reason why I gave it a 4 star review was because I have bigger hands and my thumb is kind of uncomfortable holding the release. But if you are looking for a well made, durable, sleek customizable release, give this a try.
