Great for the Price
If you want a really good recumbent bike with gears you will pay a small fortune for it but for not having gears, this little cruiser does pretty good on hills! The assembly was incredibly easy but I will say if I had to do this over I would have taken it straight to a bike shop to get the rear tires and the brakes set by a pro. My husband and I could only get it aligned kind of ok. Its really nice however to be able to ride a bike again after having back issues preventing me from riding a two wheel bike. I really like the bike.

love it!
I love this bike! I needed something for exercise that would spare my knees and that could also give my dog a good work-out. I was afraid my dog would pull me off a regular bike. This reclining bike does the trick! The dog gets a fast trot or a good run, and I get fresh air and exercise. Keep in mind it's designed for flat roads. It goes mighty fast down even a modest slope, and gives you a good work-out on the way back up. The wheels slip if the slope is too steep. I wish it had two hand brakes, but it sure is fun!

Seller may be selling used products.
I have ordered two of these so far, and keep in mind that this feedback in no way changes the fact that the product is amazing and fun to use. My first one I ordered was great, easy to assemble and a blast to ride aside from if on too steep of an incline you do need to get off and walk it up the hill as there is little weight on the front tire which is where you pedal from. The second one I ordered as I opened the box bolts and nuts were just loose in the box. It appeared as if it was one that had been returned and sent back. The brakes were not connected and one tire was twisted so it could not be inflated until I let the air out and adjusted the tire. Had that been the first experience with putting one together or I did not have experience with building bikes it may have been the last for me and sent back. Once I got it together still an amazing product. My wife loves it and we ordered a 3rd for my daughter.

Easy riding
My wife has a disability, and has never been able to ride a bike. I bought her this trike so we could go riding together. She's absolutely thrilled with it. It's single speed (plus reverse), and achieves a top speed of 6 miles per hour, but we go do a local 8 mile loop on this trike and my bike. The 8-mile loop is a very flat path, which makes it possible. Haven't tried this trike on hills and I don't think it would do very well; old railroad trails and the like would be best for this.

PNR Mobo shift 3: Excellent
Bought the trike for my wife, it was very easy to assemble (less than one hour) and it had all the tools I needed to put it together. Also had very clear instructions. It is comfortable and fun to ride; if you are aging and having problems with balance this is the trike to buy. It does have a wide turning ratio but if you get in a tight spot you can reverse. Regarding CUSTOMER SERVICE: it has taken me 3 weeks to write the review because I was waiting to see how customer services reacted to a couple of requests. There was a damaged part (Pull knob for length adjustment) but they reacted as soon as I called and sent me a new one in perfect working condition. Had some difficulty getting reverse to work, they walked me through the process and in five minutes I was able to fix it. My wife and all the neighborhood kids love it (me too). Lots of fun to ride! For SAFETY I added a blinking light to the (modified) flag pole. The safety lightis a "must have" if riding on the street. I give the trike 5 STARS and customer service "6". Thank you!

RIDE ON YOU OLD FARTS!
WOW - 3 artificial hips, 4 hip surgeries, I honestly never thought I'd ride a bike again. I was wrong! However, because of my limitations I didn't want to spend $1000 and be wrong so I got to test it out, and its GREAT! I can see in a year, wanting to upgrade to a geared system, but for now, its exactly what I need. The steering is very good, I like the flag (I don't think its as big as they say) and assembly was pretty easy. My one HUGE fear with riding is crashing. If I crash and I fall, Im going to the ER and not under my own power. I had a wreck the other day, full speed off the sidewalk and into a bush, I could see my life flash before my eyes, and then found the hardest thing was getting OUT of the hedge! I mean come on if I fall its 6". If you use reverse PLEASE BE AWARE, it is IMMEDIATE and sudden. Turning radius is wide, but you knew that. Only one complaint, and IM hoping that's ME. For some reason everytime I ride 1/2 way through (about 1 /3 mile so far) there is a CLUNK and the front wheel extends out to the next bolt hole. Don't know why everything seems locked down, but I can still ride so Im ok w/ it. Ill ask for help later.

Great trike for the right person
My daughter, who is developmentally delayed, has owned the smaller version of this trike (the Mobo Mobito) for 7 years. She has just outgrown it and we've upgraded to the Mobo Shift. Pros: - Fun. My daughter has a blast on these trikes. She has definitely traveled over 500km on it in the 7 years she's had the Mobito, probably over 1000km. She has explored all the sidewalks and alleyways and bike paths around here, typically on 4-5km trips. She has splashed through every puddle she could find. Winter, spring, summer, fall, she loves to be out on her trike. - Visual design. Kids spontaneously say "Cool bike!" when we pass them on the sidewalk. It's a nice-looking trike. We had the yellow Mobito, which I think helped with that "wow!" factor. - Low maintenance. Other than replacing tires because of all the miles she put on it and occasionally tightening up bolts, it required little maintenance. - Grows with you. My daughter grew a lot over 7 years. Lengthening the trike was as simple as flipping the quick-release nut, pulling the pin, and sliding it back a notch. Financially, that made the trike a great purchase for us. Things I tuned/improved: - Push bar. I got some 1" x 4' square steel tubing from the hardware store and added a push bar. I used BMX pegs for handles. This required drilling a couple of holes in the frame, but it was well worth it. I used the push bar to help her turn, pull her out of mud puddles, and make sure she stopped at crosswalks. Mobo offers a push bar for their toddler trikes, but it would be nice to have it as a standard option for their bigger trikes, too. - Easier steering. My daughter has trouble with the full strength of the steering springs, so I removed one of the two springs to make it easier for her to steer. - Easier braking. My daughter's hands are on the small and weak side, so I tuned all the brake springs and screws to make it as easy as possible for her to brake. The front wheel wasn't trued up enough from the factory for such close-tolerance braking, so some spoke adjustment was required, too. Cons: - Downhill danger. Going fast down a hill is dangerous on this trike. My daughter tipped the trike over twice when doing a sharp turn after going fast down a hill. She always wears her bike helmet while riding, so luckily she got away with just a few scrapes both times. With two wheels in the back and one in the front, it's reminiscent of the infamously unstable Honda three wheeled ATVs. To be fair to Mobo, they do say that their trikes are unsuitable for hills. - Uphill pedaling. With most of the weight over the back wheels and little over the front wheel, the front wheel starts to slip on even small slopes. I guess with downhill riding being so dangerous you could count this as a safety feature, since if you can't go up a hill you can't ride back down. Having the seat just a bit further forward to help with uphill pedaling grip would be nice, though. - Steering tube design. The steering tubes point straight down, instead of pointing at the spot where the tire rubber meets the road. This means that both back wheels are constantly being pulled back toward 90 degrees, but in opposite directions. They dealt with this problem by adding a couple of springs to pull the steering straight, but it's a hack fix. If the back wheels are out of alignment, the steering starts oscillating wildly at higher speeds. To keep the wheels in alignment, you have to make sure that the two bolts holding the front end to the back end stay tight. Even with the wheels in alignment, the steering springs mean that the steering is harder to push than it needs to be. If I were given the choice to redesign one thing about this bike, I'd point the steering tubes differently. (I'd point them a little ahead of the point where the rubber meets the road in order to give some straight-line stability and also make them more responsive to steering with a push bar.) One more Shift-specific con: The flange on the front axle that engages the freewheel was welded on a bit crooked on both Shift trikes that we bought, which led to some slightly audible grinding of the freewheel while coasting. My daughter doesn't coast much, though - she's constantly pedaling - so this wasn't a big concern for us. Just a minor quality problem. Overall: If you're thrilled by going 7-8km/h on mostly flat ground, like my daughter is, this is a fantastic trike. Nothing has been better for keeping my daughter active and in shape while having fun as the Mobo Mobito and Shift have.

My daughter loves her new recumbent trike!
Overall, I like the trike - its looks, its versatility, and its price point - and my daughter is happy, so that's the most important thing. My main beef is that the front end has some significant play in it because of how the shaft slides into the frame; even with the quick release skewer tightened down (not too much, because I don't want to break the skewer bosses off), there is some play that is really pronounced on the front wheel. A thin resin shim would alleviate that. The steering can also be a little tough for my girl to do, but I am doing what I can to adjust the linkage and make things easier.

Cheap and flawed
My bike mechanic found multiple mechanical problems with this product including Mia drilled holes and inability to tighten the wheels. The frame flexed when she sat in it with her 140 pounds. Maybe for a child, not for an adult. Back it goes.

Given my son a little bit of his childhood back!
Perfect gift for my son. He loves it. He has always missed out with friends as he cannot go a regular bike due to autism and related balance issues. He even wants to go out everyday now. Before he got this he wouldn't go out at all.

Bike ordered
Never order again, no back wheels no seat nor the back of the seat, reverse gear broken , pieces missing ,,this was not a bike a true rip off, so disappointing for it was to be a surprise for my autistic boy! Really Bad , waste of a lot of money doesn't even deserve one star
