We named him Floyd!
Ever since we had a Southwest flight attendant pull out a floppy rubber chicken as a gag on a flight a few months back, my husband had been asking for a rubber chicken for his Christmas present. So when I was Christmas gift shopping, browsing Amazon for a rubber chicken and came across this thing, I couldn't resist. I mean, come on, his expression alone is hilarious! Anyway, this ended up being my husband's favorite Christmas gift and we named the chicken Floyd. If you expect the sound it makes to be what a chicken makes when it crows - you are WRONG. The sound matches its expression - a VERY LOUD scream of protest at someone suggesting making him the Sunday dinner (I always joke to my husband about making dinner out of Floyd). And while I sometimes mock-grumble about regretting getting it because it's loud, I have to admit I make it squawk as often as my husband does, and we get lots of LOL moments with it. Like some reviewer mentioned, the seam around the neck started to come apart a bit, but I super-glued it back on and now Floyd has a sturdy neck. Other then that, the construction of this is pretty solid, and I bet we will have lots of years with Floyd. And of course, he's be going with us on our travels!

Good as a gag-gift, NOT as puppy chew-toy.
Well, I'm torn on how many stars to give this thing. I was going to give it "zero" stars, but changed my mind. I bought this toy as chew-toy for a puppy. It is NOT described as a "chew-toy" for animals, but as a gag-gift for kids and adults. My son's 12 pound puppy chewed through and "killed" the squeaker on this chicken in approximately 7 minutes. The search term I used was "squeaky toys for puppy's"; however, after re-reading description a moment ago, it is not described anywhere as a dog toy. So, providing the kids or adults to whom you give this as a gift don't voraciously chew on it, you should be happy with your purchase!

Yep, it squawks.
I help run a boys club where we play Capture the Chicken, instead of a flag. The boys love it...but we have to keep these away from them when not in use as they are very loud. The one issue I have is due to our "mis-use"...we have had two sets of these over the past 6 years and all four of them have lost their heads due to being grabbed and tossed. There is a very weak point where the neck ribbon is and the seam comes apart very easily. Once the head is off, the squawker is then exposed and does not work. It does what it says it'll do, but won't stand up to rough play. I would not give this to a dog or a small child due to this.

Really satisfying, could be better
The media could not be loaded. Great idea and satisfying, but I expected the “gel” inside to be thicker, and for there to be more of it inside. It’s kind of limp

It grew to mega shark in 3 days!
The colder the water the faster it grew. Our grandkids loved it!

Glad I didn’t chicken out on buying this
This is just what it claims to be: a cheap, silly, inedible rubber chicken that makes a hilariously obnoxious squawking noise. No, it doesn’t sound like a real chicken, much less a happy one. Was it supposed to? The head and neck can be rotated or removed. If you’re so inclined, you can then blow into the squawker tube manually, playing it like the world’s most undesirable oboe. It’s probably a good way to get kicked out of a band. I don’t recommend using this chicken to make chicken stock, chicken broth, chicken cacciatore, pollo a la brasa, cream of chicken soup, kung pao chicken, chicken confit, or chicken cordon bleu. It might make a decent chicken surprise, or at least a surprising one. Keep a close eye on shipping date estimates, as some sellers are currently shipping from China using China Post, which takes a lot longer than you might have hoped for.

Happy as is, haven't tried to grow it yet
My order was packaged very well and arrived right on time. My nephew really liked the shark and he hadn't even seen it fully grown yet. I have to give it three stars because I haven't yet tried to grow it so I'm not sure how well that part works. I would also like to note, though the instructions specifically states it takes 7 to 14 days to fully grow, I hadn't notice that part and if you want this toy for the reason that it will get bigger, just take into consideration if that will inconvenience you at all. Even when it is the smallest size, it's still a very good size for any child to play with.

Está muy caro para lo que es, la pintura del juguete estaba gastada como si ya tuviera años el juguete. Pero me mata de risa cada que lo hago sonar o lo pongo en ciertas situaciones asi que no me arrepiento de la compra.
