Amazing improvement!
Two months ago, I had a custom saddle built on an existing 50 year old mesquite tree. (I found the tree in Mexico in perfect condition) This has been an amazing process and the saddle is 90% perfect. My issue was the new stirrups and leather fenders....so stiff and that equates to knee and ankle pain trying to break everything in over time. These stirrup turners were EXACTLY what I needed. Holy cow! Immediate comfort and correct placement. They do add length so you definitely need to adjust your stirrups. I ended up going up three holes for proper leg placement after adding these. Fortunately, my saddle maker measured my short legs and added extra holes to compensate. The addition of these turners means I can mount safely from anywhere and instantly find my right stirrup without looking. The stirrups stay in the correct angle and are balanced even on rough, steep mountain trails. That's a big deal out in the Big Bend desert mountains of West Texas. Installation was quite simple and took just a few minutes. My only complaint is because these are so thick and stiff (they have to be) my ankles can take a beating after several hours on the trails. Even in tall boots. I've begun wrapping them in vet wrap just to add a bit of cushion and that has helped significantly. I'm coming in from hard, long rides without limping anymore because my stirrup placement is finally set up correctly.

A smidge wider than kids/youth stirrups
Had to shove them in the stirrups neck on my daughters saddle. I even bought a separate pair of kids stirrups that were wider. Just about 1/3inch narrower would have been perfect fit. I have used the larger sizes on my saddle and liked them.

Measure stirrup neck
These are flared and wouldn’t work on my stirrups, so measure twice the neck of your stirrups. Need at least 3” as they are flared and won’t work otherwise. Wish the description told me this detail.

Stirrup turners
They are a bit bulky but work well in keeping the stirrups turned to I can get my foot right in the stirrups easily.

Ok

This review is in no way attempting to do a disservice to JT International regarding the forthcoming review. There are numerous websites selling this and other brands of stirrup turners and they areal very similar in appearance and basically function in the same manner. JT International sold me the stirrups at a fair price and and shipping was prompt. It is my wish to provide a more detailed review hoping that the next person thinking of making this purchase will have a better understanding of how this stirrup functions It. was purchased for one of my cordura saddles as the fenders cannot be turned and puts less strain on your ankles. If you have short legs you may not be able to adjust the Blevins buckle on your stirrup leathers for the proper length as these turners add approximately 2" to overall fender + stirrup length. Additionally, I ordered the 2" which is the width of my fender where it would normally attache to my stirrup but the width of the stirrup turner (the nylon where your stirrups will now attach is around 1-1/2"). Average stirrups have a neck width of either 2" or 3" so be aware that your newly attached stirrup will have some "play". Therefore, stirrups with a 2" neck will realize less play than the 3". If considering (upgrading" to the smaller 2" necked stirrup they are not to be found in abundance on line or at a tack store. They do exist but research will be required to locate a pair unless you are able to tolerate the plastic variety. Lastly there is a tightening bolt on one side which must be removed in order to re-attach the stirrup. It should be noted that the when re-attaching the stirrup care should be taken the position of the bolt face as nearly "outside" as possible to prevent accidental contact with the horses side.

Now there is no reason to try to endure ankle pain while riding.
I like just about everything about this stirrup turner. I can't think of anything negative. I was concerned about matching the color of my saddle and a lot of other things that didn't materialize. So, what can I tell you that will answer your questions? First - it is well built and should last for a good long time. Second - I found it easy to assemble just by looking at the pictures, which is necessary because there are no instructions. Third - it looks classy, like it was always part of the saddle. There isn't anything about the color that makes it stand out as an "orphan" part. I think the difference in coloring gives a nice contrast. Fourth - it does what I wanted to do. The stirrup is held at an angle that gives a secure, solid footing witihout twisting your ankle, like it did before. I did have to reset the fender because the stirrup holder is a bit longer than the original stirrup. That construction is great but the way I mounted it the first time caused the only issue I had. I wasn't paying attention when I installed them the first time. The stirrup holder is mounted to the saddle with a very sturdy bolt that has a rounded top. On the other end the nut and bolt protrude just a hair, enough to cause some discomfort to my ankle as the end of the bolt bumped me frequently while riding. It took only a moment to correct that. If you put the rounded part of the bolt closest to your ankle that problem disappears. So, other than that little difficulty I think everything was better than I expected. Fifth - the price is right, a real value for your money.

Happy with my purchase
I am very pleased with these stirrup turners. Never owned them before. Way easier than training the leather to turn out. I’m getting more of these.

Great Buy!
It's not exactly what's in the picture, but I like what I got. ???? Fit a bit tight but I made it work. Feels pretty sturdy, and rotated the stirrups perfectly! First time I've used this saddle (on my fat draft/curly cross) that my knees didn't hurt after my ride! They blend in pretty good with my brown saddle, but it does add more length. I already had them on the second shortest setting, and now I have them in the shortest, and I'm still slightly on my tip toes. He's a good boy with low energy, so I'm not too worried about getting bumped out of my seat. Installation was also pretty easy, and like I said, it's a really tight fit. But I also ordered with out actually measuring my stirrups. So that might be on me. I would absolutely buy this again! ????

Work but need alterations
Did exactly what they are intended for BUT you do need to trim the corners off on the side that will sit against ur leg as it does rub. Once I did that I haven't had an issues and my ankles and knees are very happy. Definitely worth the 20$

These are great but do add a lot of length to your stirrup (ok for me as a tall rider but friends with short legs who struggle getting short-enough fenders for their saddles think these wouldn't work for them)
