Good, thin PTEX

The sticks are thinner than others I've used so they burn through faster but they also stay lit better.

Good ptex.

Ptex is good . Black is harder and more durable . Clear looks good but try to keep flame blue because yellow flame will cause carbon residue in repair. Black is just black and easier to control flow.

Solid Material

I had some old ptex sticks that I used to repair a core shot - that stuff cracked after just one weekend trip. I got these to re-do the repair and I can already tell the material is a LOT stronger. Feels like the rest of the base. Takes quite a bit of heat to melt - have patience (or a blowtorch). Once applied, I can already tell this stuff will last.

Good product. Melts easily.

Good price. I fixed all of my kids skis with less than one stick. Melts easily and finishes to a smooth surface.

1/3 the size for double the price.

Save your money and order ptex from Christie Sports or an actual ski shop. These ptex sticks are 1/3 the diameter of the one you get at Christie for double the cost.

Not the deal you think it is

Candles arrived today. Normal p-tex candles are 6mm diameter and 8" long. These are only 3mm in diameter. So, 3 of these per pack is the equivalent of 1.5 'normal' ptex candles. Makes this product very expensive. Beware. Regular candles are approx $1 each at ski shops. Since I couldn't find any locally, i was forced to buy these on-line. I was willing to pay a bit more but $5 price equivalent per candle is sad.

Be very careful!

I was using this indoors, clearly not a good idea. Smell is strong and one drip from this stuff will start a fire. Some dripped on some paper towel and it lit up. Please be very careful. Once I got used to the product though it seems to work well. Because have have warnings on everything from coffee cups to tablets they loose their meaning on consumers. Therefore considering this really is a dangerous product some larger warnings would be a good idea.

Exactly as ordered. Worked perfectly

Took 3 layers and worked perfectly. I can barely see the repair. Easy DIY at home repair. Cost me about $2 worth of p-Tex as opposed to $40+ at the shop.

Hard to light

I found it a bit hard to light and it burnt with some spot but nevertheless it filled the gouge in my board and held up alright too

as described, good price

as described, good price. Patched my wife and my skis with it. Couldn't find my scraper, but the back of a kitchen knife worked. The job was easier, but way more time consuming than I thought. Dont 'be afraid to buy this and do your own repairs.
