I wish it would work in the receiving room.
The product had good instructions on instalation but the bad side is it's made to be installed in the receiving room. So If you set up the temp at 60 and the room is at 61 the fan will not turn on. In my case I wanted the fan to turn on when basement heat got higher and I did not realy care about temperature in receiving room so it didn't work properly basically the fan is always on.

I was unaware that this thermostat is actually a heating thermostat, in that the power to the attached fan kicks on when the temperature drops to the set temperature if it is placed in the room or zone that you want to bring heat to. As I have this in the room with the wood stove, I was hoping that the thermostat would kick on when the room rises to the set temperature and then shut off again when the temp falls below the set temp, so the fan wouldn't run all night if the stove burned low. That said, it works perfectly well and the wireless nature of it was very convenient for thermostat and fan placement.

Not Happy with this Product
Purchased this product to go with a purchase of the Tjernlund AireShare 2 fan and they do not include a wiring diagram for these two items to work together. They provide a diagram for the AIRShare 1 fan. After a phone call and 2 emails the tech support finally provided clear instructions on how to do the wiring connections. They also failed to provide an instruction manual for the thermostat. The cover does not have tabs that when squeezed allow the cover to pop off like other manufacturers thermostats from the mounting plate. No where does it say to slide the thermostat off the mounting plat. Since I had no instructions I broke to 2 tabs that that secure in to the mounting plate. Also without the instructions for the thermostat I had no idea how to program it. By the way this is marketed as a Tjernlund product but it is actually a SKYTECH TS R 2A thermostat. When I realized this I went to SKYTECH website and found the instructions on how to program and operate the product. Also the batteries they sent me were dead so before I can finish programing this Thermostat I have to go buy new batteries.

Works Perfectly
Love this wireless thermostat! I can place the receiver in any room in my house (1600 Sq ft) and set a temperature and the blower fan will automatically kick on when the temperature falls below the set threshold. I would buy this unit again in a heartbeat. One negative is that there is no lighted screen and the product is about as simple as they come with no features other than current temp setting. No presets or memory with this model. I hooked this up to my 3000 Sq foot add on wood furnace blower and I have not had any issues since installation. Great product!!!

Using it to boost temperature in our front porch. When the blower from our coal furnace shut off the porch would feel cool. This unit in conjunction with a Tjenlund EF-6 duct booster helps regulate the temperature by keeping a flow of hot air to the porch.
