Great Everyday Magnifier
For everyday purposes at a reasonable price, I don't see how you can beat this magnifying glass, hence the 5 stars. It comes with a decent glass lens [1] of about 2X [2], a sturdy frame, and a nice, rubberized handle. It has a nice feel and balance to it. I first bought two of them from an electronics store, and after finding out how nice they are I got two more from Amazon.com. One lens had an odd, hazy patter near the center when held up at an angle to the light, but was invisible in actual use. Reasons not to buy: (1) If you're looking for a regular reading glass. They should be 4.5-5.0 inches in diameter. If weight is a concern, you might want one of those smaller, rectangular glasses. (2) If you plan to use it a lot in dark enviornments. Then, a built-in light would be very handy. (3) If you need a high-power magnifier, say 4x to 10x or more. The higher the power the smaller the field of view, the more difficult the lighting situation is, and the closer you have to get (both the glass and yourself) to the work. (If a magnifying glass is advertised as 10x, and if it is not tiny, then you are almost certainly dealing with a diopter number instead of the actual magnifying power.) [1] Plastic lenses are usually garbage, though they can serve in a rough environment (such as your garage) where use is occasional and, therefore, annoying defects are not terribly annoying. I actually have a couple of decent plastic lenses, so they do exist. It's just that you can't be sure unless you have one in hand. (The image should remain steady as you move the magnifying glass sideways and up-and-down--no ripples. Except for laboratory magnifiers, some distortion will occur near the rim.) [2] The actual magnifying power and not the inflated diopter number that is sometimes used in misleading ads. Diopter units, which you see posted for reading glasses, measure the refractive power of the lens. They don't give the actual magnification, but are mathematically related to it.

I like the glass lens.
I’ve already had one of these. And it works great! I definitely prefer the glass lens, so that it is more resistant to scratching. This magnifying glass works great, and I highly recommend it.

Great product!
I purchased this magnifying glass for use in my office. I considered several products and selected the Titan 15038 because of the lens size, the fact it was a glass lens, the overall sturdy appearance, and the previous customer reviews. I must say I was not in the least disappointed. This magnifying glass is very well designed, the rubber handle makes it easy to hold, and the lens was flawless. To be honest, I was shocked to find such quality and sturdiness for such a low price. If you require a magnifying glass for home or office use, I highly recommend this product.

Quality Product
These magnifying glasses are so durable. We have them in our nature exploring bag and with 5 boys they get a lot of rough use and have held up great. I love a quality product and these are quality.

Good magnifying glass
Nice grip and great magnification. I mistakenly purchased this thinking it was the LED lit one which I've since purchased as well. Works well in well lit areas.
