Good timer for dual usage
This product is definitely a keeper. One pet peeve of mine is that it doesn't shut off or have an off button, but I have used the same batteries for a while now and it hasn't died, yet. It's been on since I bought it, which is just a issue that lasts for a few days cause after that.... you stop caring that it doesn't shut off. It hasn't been eating up batteries, but I just hope that it doesn't start to eat batteries as it gets older. Other than that it is a great product; solid construction doesn't give you the fear of it breaking if it is dropped. It really helps me with my time management at work and during my workouts. Plus I love the fact that when your times stops the count-up timer automatically begins. So if you're in the "heat" of then moment you can just keep doing your thing while ignoring the timers beeper (or just have the sound turned off so it doesn't bother you) and you still can get a "timed" log of how long you ignored the first timer going off.

Great Timers for Lab
The timer does an excellent job and I enjoy the blinking LED lights indicating if it is before or after the time of the countdown (useful for when it is on silent). I can use it around the lab without scaring people or mice. The controls are very simple and can easily and quickly be changed during an experiment. Only issue with it is it can be a little bit clunky around the neck and the stand is rather useless since it can only sit at a 90 degree angle, but these can be easily fixed by leaning it or using the magnets on the back to hold it higher.

Great Timer and Study Aid
I bought this item as a means to help focus my studies. I originally bought one of the old school windup kitchen timers, but quickly found that the ticking noise it made to be very distracting. So, I decided to go with a digital timer. After reading reviews I settled on the Robic Twin Timer. The reason I chose this model is because of the dual timer function. This feature has proven to be very useful. I am able to pre-program 1hr time for studying and then 10 min time for breaks. It is easy to switch between the two times. Best of all it remembers the times, so you can easily switch to one or the other and reset. As you can imagine this feature is quite convenient and reduces time spent setting and resetting times. The timer can count up or count down and also can run both timers at the same time if you wish. I really found this item to be great and has helped me become more productive.

Not the timer for you if flashing lights bother you!
While this is a good timer, it is easy to operate, the timing is accurate, the beeping sound is loud, it is easy to read, but it has one feature that takes it from a 5 star down to a 2 star purchase for me. That feature is the blinking of bright green light around the timer button during the period of time that the timer is actively scouting down. If it blinked once every couple of minutes I could live with that but oh no, it blinks about every 10 seconds and I cannot live with that. I have migraines that can be triggered be flashing light; so to use this timer, I have to turn it away from me in order to avoid the flashing lights and I have to move away from the timer so that I don't see the reflection of the flashing lights. Unfortunately I waited too long to return it to Amazon; otherwise the timer would have already exited my home. Bottom line: If you are sensitive to flashing lights, this is NOT the timer for you!

Best timer out there for the money
I looked at ever timer on Amazon before choosing this one. It counts both up and down on two channels. I will use it on my desk to time a large event on one channel and little task sessions on the other. Big display. Nice size. Easy to enter time and to use. It seems solid. The flashing LEDs are annoying for desk use, but I slapped electrical tape on the lights right out of the box to fix that. No way to turn flashing LEDs off, and for this I give it four stars instead of five, but I still think this is best timer for the money out there.

Won't last.
I bought this along with a thermoworks timestick ($25.00) about the same time last year. The dual timers are very nice for cooking multiple dishes at the same time, and the ring was loud. I really liked this timer up until about two months ago when the timer stopped alarming, and instead when it hits zero it is like the timer just resets. I tried all the volume settings and replacing the battery, to no avail. This timer got about the same amount of use and abuse as my thermoworks timestick. By abuse, I mean occassional drops on the kitchen floor, but no cracks or even noticable scratches on either one. This one has stopped working though and the timestick, while needing a battery replacement, cranks on. The timestick doesn't have the dual timers, the buttons are a little harder to deal with, and it doesn't have the flashing light alarm -- but it is still working -- so I think rather than buying one of these, I am going to buy another timestick.

Perfect Silent Timer!
I needed a silent timer to take the Texas Bar Exam (2013). This was perfect. It has several settings on the side and one is absolutely silent. It never made a beep, even when you are setting up the time. The downside is it has really bright flashing lights that may be distracting, but like someone else suggested, I just used 3 layers of duct tape to cover up the lights (which are on the T1 and T2 buttons) and the lights were not a problem. The duct tape did not prevent my ability to pick which Timer I wanted to set either.

Emits a constant high-pitched whine
Overall, it is a nice timer with good features. However, it emits a constant high-pitched whine, reminiscent of tinnitus. My hearing isn't perfect, so if it were just me, it wouldn't be a problem b/c I have to be right next to it to hear it. However, the rest of my family can hear it every time they walk through the kitchen, and because they find it so annoying, I am returning it. I don't know if it's just the particular unit I received, or if they are all like this.

Robust, general purpose timer
I only use the countdown timer function to time myself on tasks or keep track of time left on things like hourly rentals I use frequently for projects. The audio alarm is loud and clear, but I got it for the flashing lights. This timer does not flash a light when counting up, but it flashes a green light every 4 seconds while counting down. The green light starts flashing every 2 seconds in the last minute, and every second in the last 10 seconds. When time runs out, the timer flashes a red light every second, but only for one minute. I'm giving it 4-stars because I wish the flashing light frequency and duration was either programmable or different. I would prefer to see a green flash every 10-15 seconds during regular countdown (less distracting), then step up to 2 seconds, and 1 second, so I could easily tell the difference, and I would prefer that the red light ran much longer than 1 minute, because I find myself not paying attention to the timer when the time ends. Other than that, this is a good, intuitive device. I like that it came with batteries, and has a flip out desk stand, wall hanger loop, and built-in magnets for sticking to metal surfaces.

Nice quality timer
Good timer. Can set two different times. Can be silent, the green light flashers it counts down, when it reaches 0 it starts to count up and flashes red. The beeper has two levels, both are loud. Has memory setting. It's better quality than another one we got for my mother in law. Would recommend.

Highly recommended. I use this in my office Every day for different procedures. It has been very reliable. My staff has dropped it twice :( but it has not stopped working and continues to be accurate and dependable . I like the two different timers and countdowns and options with the clock.

It is good timer. But, it's quite big and heavy that I expected. The size is full adult hand. It looks very tough and heavy. There are two button magnets but these are not strong, can't attach on door of refrigerater. Overall, it is a good item until now, however defeated by other good designed timer soon.
