Got them today, used them today
If you are securing anything into treated lumber or timber, you need to use stainless steel fasteners. Today's treated wood is pressurized with salt. If you use anything but stainless, your fasteners will be corroded and gone in short order. I don't care what the salesman tells you, today's treated timber has been around long enough that I have seen it eat all types except stainless. Coated, galvanized, no matter.
