Does the trick
This did the job it was supposed to . The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because it’s a challenge getting it out of the cannister to dispense down because of the stickiness . I lost one because I had to pull hard and it broke from the top

I really like this brand especially with there ant traps. These fly traps did catch flies but I had to put them about chest high so you can take how you want.

I think it works
Long story short, this solved our gnat problem but I have no idea how. I don't know if anything got stuck to the tape but the bugs are gone. Since it worked, I won't question it. So we had these annoying gnats/fruit fly like bugs that were only in our bedroom for the most part. There was only like 1 or 2 per day but they were those ones that drives you nuts by flying right in your face and you can never kill them, so we bought these. They opened fairly easily without much force or the string or anything breaking randomly. I took the time to unravel it and tried pulling it tight and holding it like that for a bit, but as soon as I let go then it just wound right back up. I figured it would unravel on its own after hanging it up, so it wasn't a big deal. (The pic with more light shows how it was out of the box the first night) We put it into our ceiling above our computer where those things managed to evoke the most rage in us and went to bed. The very next morning we didn't see any flies. I didn't notice any stuck on the tape either though. Its now been 4 days since putting the fly paper up and we have not seen a single one of those gnats anywhere in my home. I *think* one may be stuck to the paper, but not completely sure, it could be dust too. I really don't understand it. We had these flies for 3 weeks and no severe change in weather or anything else, so I know it was these papers. They're the only change we made. Also side note, it ended up unraveling a little bit after we turned on our humidifier last night, but otherwise it still hasnt really straightened out yet.(You can see in the 2nd pic, the darker one where more of the window is in the shot) Its only been up for 4 days and I just measured it to be about 2 feet, even with it still curled a bit. I saw some other reviewers not like that it didnt unravel completely. I don't mind since it's not like we need the extra tape space and I'd probably manage to hit my head off it somehow if it was longer, which I'm definitely okay with never doing (again). Ultimately we bought this to get rid of our gnat problem, which it did. Even if it wasn't in the expected way. So I'm competely happy with the purchase. And it does seem sticky enough that if they land on it they would get stuck to it. Also getting 8 of them for the price is worth it as well.

Wear gloves and move slowly
These fly strips work very well, but they are quite hard to get out of the little canisters and straightened without either them spiraling onto themselves or you getting the strip stuck to you. The included tack at the end of the strip works okay, but sometimes isn't up to the task if you're not attaching it to something soft. I had trouble with the floor joists in my basement ceiling... They kept coming out. I recommend wearing gloves and having a friend help out. Once they're in place they work great. Recommend also putting a cup of cider vinegar mixed with dish soap nearby to attract and capture the little beasties.

Fly Tape
The first I noticed was when I grabbed the tab it wasn’t all sticky and cap came off not sticky which was fantastic. While I was hanging it a fly landed on and hasn’t off. These aren’t attractive but I needed something to stop flies getting in my house. Neighbors have a dog that they don’t pick up after regularly.???? So if you need something quick and cheap but good quality; these are it. Update: Within 2 days both of my traps I hung were totally covered on my front porch. We were thrilled to sit outside and not have flies land on us after being on the neighbors dog poop. These literally saved my sanity and kept me from fighting with the neighbors about the flies this year.

Not "perfect" but it's fly paper.
Raid fly paper unfurls almost perfectly every time. Couldn't get that, so I ordered this because a similar product was really good. It takes DAYS to unfurl completely. While I'm thrilled at the fly graveyards I'm collecting involuntarily (I did not ask for flies and I've torn my place apart looking for the source, so IDEK what to do here), my only option is to mitigate while I look for the source. I can buy 10 Raid rolls for $3-something. This is 8 for $4. I'm not going to quibble over, basically, a dollar. I *am* going to quibble over the fact that I'm paying more for an inferior product. Ultimately I get the same results over about the same amount of time. I'm complaining about the fact that it unfurls poorly. Well when I think about it, Raid has a habit of not staying in place. I have deployed four of these so far and never had a problem with the tack, the cover, or the little ribbon. Give and take, I guess. I'll buy this again.

It just works and works well
I bought this product after my condo was invaded by drain flies. I hung 2 straps from the ceiling of my loft. Within a few hours, there were already some victims. I noticed a decrease in being pestered within a day and they were all gone before the week ended. All that was left was taking down the tape and tossing it. A simple, cheap, no-hassle product that works and works well. Worth every penny.

Very effective
These work surprisingly well and are very effective in doing the job. I deploy 2 in a chicken coop run to assist in reducing fly count, which is high here with recent wet weather and high humidity. This version is much more effective than the larger wider equivalent with the 3D print here in Australia.
