Issue resolved

What a drippy mess and big disappointment. The carafe leaks down the handle side, not sure why but what a mess. The bigger disappointment is no contact from Mochamaster. I received a confirmation of product registration and a congratulations on my purchase but, after three emails describing the carafes leaking with attached pictures nothing from Mochamaster, zip, zero, nadda. At this point all I can say is buyer beware. Like others have stated the customer service is severely lacking. Not sure what to do at this point but at this price point I expect at least a return email let alone a resolution to this problem. I guess their unspoken rule is return the product and try again or get something else. Our other Mochamaster worked perfectly for seven years and we passed that one on to our son after receiving this one. So, yeah, buyer beware! Update: Okay, Mochamaster did finally get back to me and did apologize for the delay. So that’s good. As for the leaking carafe they replaced it at no charge to me. So that’s good also. I changed my rating to five stars and am a happy customer once again. Yes, I would recommend Mochamaster.

Best Drip Coffee Maker I Have Ever Owned

I bought the Moccamaster Grand. It makes super tasting coffee and it is very fast. Generally I make 1 liter daily and the Moccamaster does that in about 5 minutes. I recently bought the smaller basket to use with a #4 cone filter and it works perfectly. If you have the cash do yourself a favor and get one. You will thank yourself every remaining coffee drinking day of your life.

It’s love at first sip

Been using my Mochamaster for a couple months now, and decided I have to come back for a review. I thought I loved my Ninja. It was good and reliable. But this… The Mochamaster makes amazing coffee even out of mediocre beans. Very rich and nice and strong. And smooth! Very glad I bought it. Highly recommend.

Copper Heating Element, Quality Build/Engineering and The Best Cup of Coffee!

What gets little mention in reviews on this exemplary coffee brewer and other Moccamaster products is the COPPER heating element. Copper is the best medium for heating food prep water without the "issues" and shorter lifespan of aluminum. Try to find another brewer in this or a lower price range that has a copper heating element. Those of you that have studied the causes of early onset dementias will understand the issues with using heated/cooled aluminum in concert with food preparation. The quality of the build justifies the price asked for this unit. I would rather pay more for a beautifully engineered hand-built coffee brewer that allows the manufacturer to support employees and their families rather than additional automation in a country with continuing human rights abuses. The brewer is SERVICEABLE with replacement parts readily available. Remember when certain popular European coffee makers sold around the USA were actually made in Europe with replacement parts available, the Moccamaster harkens back to that time with even better quality. If a coffee maker with this build quality was made in the USA, I would have bought it... The cost differential for this volume 15 "standard" cup brewer is minimal as of this writing. We entertain fellow coffee drinkers frequently and the appreciation spans an entire family now. The CDT Grand brews in under eight minutes, super fast! Get a good quality burr grinder for your beans to complete the experience. Comes with a few filters so make sure to order the Moccamaster filters. Consider what you might pay for a cup at your local fancy coffee shop over the course of a few years. Definitely justification on my part, feel free to borrow it for yourself and your family/friends. The best home brewed coffee I have ever had. 09102021 UPDATE; This machine is still brewing well. I have since bought FOUR more as gifts and for our other home. Outstanding quality, great serviceability and longevity. The 50s Caddy of Coffee Brewers! 03012023 UPDATE; Still brewing well. We use RO Filtered H2O so descaling happens less. Still looks and, more importantly, operates like new. This is the coffee make to own.

First review I’ve ever written, but I really like coffee so I decided to do this. Have had the big Moccamaster for 14 months now. It works just as advertised. Makes a delicious cup of really hot coffee, quickly. * Not as quick as Bunn products, because it doesn’t preheat water. But it’s fresher than Bunn, and it still heats the water incredibly fast. * don’t worry about the reviews that say you can’t find filters, you can. The Bunn ones work great. * the carafe keeps the coffee hot enough to drink and enjoy for about 6 hours (plenty long enough for us). After that it tastes lukewarm. * at first I didn’t like all the pieces (7 or so), but now I do! The reason: easy cleaning. Any coffee maker is going to get dirty over time, and with the pieces that come apart, you can easily keep your baby looking brand new. The only tricky part to clean is the bottom of the carafe, but I don’t know how they would rectify that. * we brew less than the full amount (we made our own line just under the line). It ends up being enough for both me and my wife to have our cups of coffee each morning, with only having to brew once! * It is perfect for if you have guests. * we have been descaling according to the schedule. Have had zero problems with this thing. It looks and brews just like the first day we got it, with minimal cleaning effort. We love it, and I think it’s worth the money. Before this we burned through other cheap coffee makers every year. This thing is made of quality parts, you can tell when you use it. It has held up over time, I fully expect many more years out of it. Might as well pay more now and have years of better coffee :)

Great coffee can be made with this unit

I have been percolating my coffee for years as I found home drip coffee makers too weak. My wife talked me into a drip coffee maker so I researched and found that if I was willing to spend $500.00 the Technivorm Moccamaster Grand was one of the consistently top rated coffee makers on the planet. I will not repeat the Info the Manufacturer gives but will tell you my experience. First thing, order the large coffee filters as it comes with 3 only. The unit arrived and I ran water through a cycle as per instructions. I like strong coffee but the instructions call for 10 scoops for a full pot.(1 scoop 2 tablespoons) I found that too strong. I find 8.5 scoops perfect for a full pot. The coffee maker Is well made and the engineering is elegant with no bells and whistles just an on/off button. The unit brews coffee quite fast. The coffee is hot which I like and the flavour was amazing. There is absolutely no bitterness what so ever. I started buying different brands of beans as I can really taste the difference in all the brands now. The thing I like about this coffee maker is that if I make a small pot the coffee, it still comes out the same as a full pot. I thought it might be tricky to making pots of different sizes but It is simple and the proportions of coffee to water stay relatively the same. This is the best coffee I have tasted at anyones home ever! I highly recommend..

Less is more! A simple good coffee maker.

Everyone compliments on our new office coffee maker. We used to have a 20,000$ high maintenance cappuccino/espresso machine that was really too much where all we really needed was a simple coffee maker. Our new Technivorm CDT makes a great consistent coffee at a fraction of the price of pods or automatic machines plus less waste!

The best

I drink a lot of coffee, a lot...and this thing makes a perfect pot in a short amount of time. You can brew a very fine bean and not feel like you're doing the bean a disservice by making a volume of it. Really easy, to use, really easy to clean and the speed of which it brews such a magic cup is incredible

Amazing coffee!

This unit makes amazing coffee. The temperature of the water is high enough to properly extra the coffee. Most other coffee makers only warm the water to 125F-160F which is totally inadequate to make rich, bold coffee.

The very best coffee maker on the market!

This is an upgrade to our previous coffee maker Moccamaster, the smaller version. We consume so much coffee because it is SO very good that it is hard to keep enough on the table! You cannot go wrong with this great machine!
