Great product

I just installed a bunch of weather resistant GFCI’s that we use to power up Christmas lights in December. Water getting into the outlets when it rains and the outlet is in use has always bugged me. Well, these covers keep that from happening. They are well built, durable, easy to install and they keep the rain you. 5 stars, but I wouldn’t expect anything less from a Hubbell company.

Solidly Built, but.....

Very solidly built, but unit difficult to fully open. Has odd detents that require a fair amount of jiggling to get it past the 3/4 point once mounted. More importantly, unit is not really deep enough to cover a standard extension cord when plugged straight in. Works okay for a cord with a 90 degree plug end, but not a standard straight plug. Returned it for a different model with deeper lid space.

Easy to replace existing outlet cover

It took less than 5 minutes to remove the original outlet cover and replace it with this cover.

Perfect for Nest Camera

Bought this for my Nest security camera. I can keep the camera plugged in and still lock the cover without any problems. It comes with a foam back to help seal out water and bugs. It works great for the front of my house since I have brick.

Love Them!

I installed two outside my home. It’s durable and easy to install. I love how it closes securely. I had water leaking in my old one and it was shorting out the entire line, but now I’ve got no issues thanks to these. I’d order again, but these may last the life of the home.

These TayMac Covers are METAL not PLASTIC

Moved into a newly built home. The builder opted for large, square, unpainted plastic boxes to cover external outlets. I had used these TayMac covers previouly and knew they were good of quality and would look good and function well-

Attractive and tough

Installed the cover on a surface mounted PVC electrical box fitted with a GFCI outlet. It's metal construction is much more durable than a plastic cover. The cover has detents in the closed and in-use positions so the wind won't accidentally blow it open. Very well designed and made, and looks good too. Highly recommended.

A durable metal cover! Yeah!

These are way more attractive than all those other plastic versions. Have had this one in use for one prairie winter so far. Easy to open and close even in severe cold. No plastic bits to break. Cool feature that the lid closes flatter when unused, angled when in use, and can be locked either position (if you need that).

Very sturdy and should last long time

Bought 2. One for front of the house one for back. If you have tight space or recessed outlet, you can't use this. Need room for this one. I had to use more foam backing for my recessed outlet because cover hits brick and can't open. Another one had tight space and it won't open so used it for another outlet. It is metal so very heavy duty. My extension cord will be covered so don't have to unplug when rains. Good product.
