Really really disappointed
I bought this scale because of the glowing reviews of how accurate it is. I placed the scale on a hard and flat surface and weighed myself --- I knew the number was showing less than I weigh! I waited five minutes and tried it again. This time the read out was three pounds heavier! I called the Taylor customer service line. I was told to take the batteries out, stand on the scale for 10 seconds and put the batteries back in. I did that and the scale would not work at all!!! I am very disappointed. The only good thing is that I can take the scale to Kohl's for them to process a refund and not have to bother with boxing it and shipping it. I think Taylor is a very good brand, so perhaps I will try another model.

Does One Thing Really Well
I like this scale. It has a glass top and a plastic frame you can see through. This makes it more discreet. Plus, it’s just a scale. There are no BMI calculating gizmos. I like that. Just as I like the large size LCD display that plain and easy to read. It does one thing and does it well. One of the things I appreciate about the scale is that the top is beveled at an angle. When not in use I usually stow the scale under a chair or old desk in the bedroom. With our large bed taking up so much space, if I left the old scale with its hard glass edge poking out, there was always a chance of stubbing my toe against the hard edge. The chamfered edge means that you get a more glancing blow which doesn’t hurt as much. (I’m a klutz so I tried it.) This is a nice safety feature. Another nice thing is the white backlight on the LCD display. It means that you can conveniently use it in subdued lighting early in the morning or late at night before or after you go to bed and can easily read the display. This scale has a fairly small footprint of just over 1 foot square. The scale comes with the three AAA batteries and is supposed to measure up to 400lbs. My husband are both under 200lbs. If my husband steps on the scale with his dumbbell weights the pounds do tally up correctly so the scale does seem accurate. So a nice bathroom scale that works well. It only seems to come in black. A couple of other color options would be nice but since it’s mostly transparent it doesn’t stand out too much. I like it.

Solid scale up to 400 pounds.
This is really pretty. And I liked it because it was stylish. If you’re going to have a scale at least it should look nice. I like that it’s a clear glass with a black frame. no matter where I put it it always register that I had 3 pounds on it already. So on accuracy only get four stars. However anywhere that I put it I always measure the same weight. It is very easy to read. The number stands right out. I had no trouble with that it is extremely easy to use. Simply insert the three batteries that come with it put the plastic cover on flip it over and what you stand on at the numbers pop right up. That’s it very easy to set up. I think this would be a great gift especially to somebody who’s trying to monitor and stay within a healthy weight level. This is set up for up to 400 pounds. It’s a good solid product and would work well in most homes.

Good, Basic, Digital Scale
The Taylor scale is very simple and easy to use. Once we received it, it was ready to go, no extra set up needed. It does not have any added extras such as wifi capability or BMI readings, but if all you are looking for are the basics than this is the perfect scale. It looks very sleek on the floor and does exactly what it needs to do. As far as accuracy it reads the same as our older scale so I believe that it is accurate.

Quality-made and accurate
This scale is well-packed in its product box, and arrived in perfect condition. The materials used are all-around excellent, and the tempered glass plate makes it a very attractive item in a bathroom with any décor. There are easy to understand instructions in three different languages included. Within are several especially helpful sections: - Calibration procedure. The display has indicators to show when it’s not properly calibrated (super-simple to correct), and also when the batteries are low. - Troubleshooting section, which I had no need for, since it worked as advertised. - A handy “Body Mass Index” table which shows where your weight should be, according to your height. - Advice on reaching your target weight. I tested it with an object of known weight, and it was pretty much dead-nuts on, more than accurate enough for my purposes. It has an incredible capacity of 400 pounds, far more than anyone should ever need for normal purposes. If you do happen to exceed that weight, there’s an indicator for that too, and it's off to the gym for you! Also, if you’d prefer a read-out in kilograms, there’s an easily accessed button on the bottom that switches its display mode from pounds and back. In summary, I couldn’t happier with this product’s quality, accuracy, and ease of use. Without hesitation, it deserves and receives my highest recommendation.

Finally! Identical Weight On Different Floors Throughout My Home
I love this scale. The basic problem I've had with scales, over the years, is that they give a completely different weight on different floors in my home. This scale gave the identical weight on each bathroom floor and the kitchen floor, even though they all slant in slightly different directions and to slightly different degrees. Each time I tested it, I got the same weight. I have done this several times now, over a couple of weeks, and have found that this scale has the best accuracy of any scale I've used. I love it and I'm thrilled. I also have to mention that it turns off more quickly than some others I've used, so it doesn't waste battery life, just sitting there in a cabinet for five minutes. It turns off pretty much when I set it down in there, right after using it, and it doesn't turn on accidentally from me setting it down. Good luck finding what will work for your needs. So far, this is really impressing me with accuracy, quality, and overall design.
