Beautiful item but…

Mine arrived with the cuve broken. I got the feeling if your bottle slip from your hand , if will break the inner plastic cuve which will then start to leak.

The box is handy if buying to gift on & I'd also keep hold of it for storage as the gold finish could be damaged if stored loose in a cupboard. The golden apple measures 9¹⁄₁₆"/23ᶜᵐ in height with a 5²⁹⁄₃₂"/15ᶜᵐ diameter at its widest. It's made from a mix of metal, ceramic with a high gloss mirror gold finish. I'm not generally a fan of gold fittings or ornaments but I do have a gold lustre ware dinner service which gets dragged out on certain occasions. So the ice bucket matches that & I imagine the gold mirror finish will reflect some of the suns heat if having drinkies in the garden during the summer. When used as an ice-bucket its a little short & if the bottle is to have ice under as well as around ut it can stick up a bit far. I prefer to use it as an ice holder when having a get together, partnered with a pair of short ice tongs. The tight fitting lid, reflective coating & double walled construction keep ice solid for a good long time. Looks wise it may not appeal to everyone, but I look on it as a piece of 60's/70's inspired kitch. Just be sure to set the table with a cheese & pineapple on sticks hedgehog.???? Currently its £35.46 down from ̶£̶4̶0̶.̶0̶0̶. You don't have to buy an ice-bucket often; maybe once for yourself & occasionally as a gift. So I don't mind paying that price as its an occasional buy.

Awful. Avoid. Cheap damaged

Item came with a hole in the base (great for keeping ice) and the gold was all flaked off of it. No email to contact the seller. DO NOT BUY

middle ceramic?

This is a good size and certainly a talking point at any get together, The middle i thought was going to be plastic actually feels like its ceramic, so it is quite heavy but it does mean its less likely to be knockered over with all the ice etc in it. Great fun
