Very nice product
I liked everything about it

Good, sturdy device but not worth the price.
I love the idea of this device, but it's got a steep learning curve especially if you are new to making the batter for medu vadas. the device itself is simple and user friendly, but the batter has to be not too thin, not too thick, not too sticky, and not too firm in order to seep through the opening and create a perfect shape. For one batch of dough, I was able to get about 40% of the vadas perfectly shaped, and the rest turned out like crescent moon shapes or other blobs of some sort. It's easy to clean after a little bit of soaking in warm water, and it's dishwasher safe. Overall, not worth the money especially if you don't make vadas that often.

small but works well
The hopper is small but it still made a ton of doughnuts! I am still trying to work out the kinks but I pulled the plunger just above the oil and they were perfectly round. when the plunger closes it makes some jagged parts on the top of the doughnut. They get nice and crispy though!

but this turned out to be a good thing. First
It's smaller than I expected, but this turned out to be a good thing. First, it's easy to handle with one hand that way, and the doughnuts I was making puff up to normal sized after frying anyway. I think if it were as big as I expected I would have giant monster doughnuts. That doesn't sound like a terrible thing to start with, but my waistline would likely argue with you about that.

This contraption is well made. I bought it for ...
This contraption is well made. I bought it for making medu vada only. But the bottom hole is too big and the medu vada bqatter of the correct consistence does not fall down by its own accord. In order to make it fall, you have to make the batter quite thin by adding more water, in which case the medu vada will absorb lot of oil.. This design can be improved by incorporating a plunger.

The construction is better than the first one that I purchased
The construction is better than the first one that I purchased, but I do wish that it had come with recipes, because the recipe I used was too thick and it made it difficult to make donuts

It took me 45 minutes to "shake" out 6 donuts.
I have a professional doughnut depositor. However, the older I get the harder it is to use it. It is quite heavy. I am a former baker who still enjoys making cake doughnuts. I bought it to make the job easier. It did not! I also thought with Martha Stewart's name on it, it was a "shoe-in". First of all, it is extremely small. It will not even hold one batch of doughnut batter (two dozen). Second, it took me 45 minutes to "shake out 6 doughnuts that looked like the devil. I absolutely do not recommend this product.

Small but well built.
I bought this thing for a special event I booked where I agreed to make 600 donuts on site. I pounded over 40L of donut batter through this thing in a matter of hours and it did not let me down. I will say it is smaller than you'd think and is a bit had to fill, but other than it is very well built. Solid stainless, the spring has enough tension to hold the batter without leaking, while still enough give to not kill my hand after hours and hours of using. I put this little donut hopper through the ringer and it came out the other side unscathed. Would buy again.

Best for making buttermilk donuts.
Nothing to dislike, works just as good as the ones you use in a professional kitchen.

Well made
Was smaller than I thought it would be, also does not come apart for easy cleaning, otherwise made very well.
