size is a little off

From my wife: The Gildan v neck t shirts in size large fit perfectly, not too tight and not too loose. I've bought the 2 packs a few times and the shirts fit. But this last order was different. I ordered the 2 pack of green, "Irish green and lime green". The Irish green fit perfect, but the lime green fits like a medium. The tag says "large" but it's very snug, which I don't like. So I guess I'll give one away. Other than that, Gildan does make good shirts.

Good Value and Nice Fit

Our daughter needed a 100% cotton tee for a school tie dye project. We order two brands -- this Gildan, and the Hanes. The Gildan came in a 2-pack for a great price. It has a slightly fitted shape that looks flattering without being at all clingy. The length is still good even after washing. It held the dye well, so would definitely recommend.

I really like these shirts!

I really like everything about these t-shirts! I, unfortunately, battle the middle age belly roll, and many t-shirts are too thin and clingy which accentuates this roll. These T's are made from a medium-heavy weight fabric that does not cling at all, and the shape is just a bit tapered and feminine, so I don't look 'boxy". I normally wear a 10/12 , woman's large , and the size Large in these fits perfectly.

Get you normal size.

Amazon recommended I size up (based on previous orders I guess), so I ordered the XXL (I usually wear a L or an XL), and these are pretty loose / baggy right out of the packaging. The colors are great and the fabric is not too thin, not too thick... just wished someone had told me to get my normal size (an XL would've been perfect). No time to exchange before a trip, and they are still certainly wearable.. (tucked in I suppose)... but, get your normal size!!

Buy a Larger Size

Although these shirts fit to size, they're 100% cotton and will shrink in the wash. Before I purchased these T-shirts, I read others' reviews who suggest going up one or two sizes. I wear an X-Small, so I bought a Small and Medium. Both were of course too big, but because they're 100% cotton, I figured they'd shrink. I kept the small and put them through the washer and dryer. They shrunk as expected, and now fit me perfectly. One of them I threw in the dryer a second time to remove the wrinkles before I wore it, and it shrunk a little more. So I'm not sure I'll dry them again. Knowing this, I think I'll try a Medium next time. These T-shirts are good quality, and you can't beat the price - about $7 each! They're on the thicker side and do not feel too lightweight or flimsy. I've paid over $20 before for T-shirts that were practically see through (like the T-shirts you get at amusement parks or special events), and these are definitely better quality. They are also comfortable and I like the V-neck. And they aren't too wrinkly when they come out of the dryer. Others have noted that they're not soft, and I agree. But they're comfortable to me the thickness is more important. Lastly, you can't beat the color selection.

NOT heavy weight!

It says it is heavy weight cotton. It IS cotton but it’s lightweight, not heavy and while it’s comfortable and looked ok fresh out of the package, now that I have worn it for a few weeks, the fabric is pilling badly where my arms rub the sides of my breasts. It fits well enough and I like the style and for the price it’s ok, but ones of the two is already so pilled it’s unfit to wear out. It’s fine for at home and working around the house but it’s not high quality cotton knit. You get what you pay for. If you like a snug T shirt, get your usual size. If you like a looser fit like I do, go one size higher.

Awesome Basic Tees - Can't go Wrong!!

Super happy with this purchase. I've been buying basic Tshirts from Walmart for years but they keep getting thinner and thinner and last year they were practically see-through so I was on a mission to find new basic tees. These are amazing... Nice thick material and not see-through whatsoever. Should have been buying them years ago!! And what I really love about these Tshirts is that they are long (I'm 5'9 and it hits the top of my bum) and the sleeves are longer too so it covers more upper arm. I agree with some other reviewers that the material is a little on the scratchy/rough side but it does not bother me while wearing and I have super sensitive skin. And usually cotton softens the more you wash so I'm not too worried.

Cute white t-shirt

The fabric is nice and heavy so the price is excellent for the shirt. I read a review that said to be careful when you wash it because it looks terrible and wrinkled etc. But mine turned out amazing with the wash and dryer. I find them a bit short but it’s comfortable on my skin. I’ll be ordering more for sure.

No complaints!

Sheerness is at an acceptable level. Cotton is good quality. Came out just fine from the washer. I hung them to dry, and looked fine. Comfortable and true to size. I got Medium and they fit perfectly.

It fit me perfect. I love the length and the material is actually soft. Very comfortable
