EXCELLENT RACKS - GREAT PRICE
I like these Tajo Single Kayak Storage brackets. They were easy to install. It took my husband and I, 35-45 minutes to install them on the inside of my garage wall. You will need a stud finder, a drill, a tape measure and we used a level. We used the screws, that came in the package, to attach the brackets to the wall. We started out using a battery operated drill, but it did not have enough power to drive the nails into the wall studs, so we switched to a drill with a power cord. The drill with the cord worked great. The directions are pretty good, but we had 4 plastic pieces left over. I'm still not sure what those are for, but the rack holds my 12 foot Perception Carolina kayak, just fine. My kayak weighs 49 pounds. I believe these storage racks hold 55 pounds. The racks fold flush against the wall, when you're not using them to hold your kayak, which is a nice feature. I researched kayak racks before buying these, and I think these are excellent quality racks at a great price. I would recommend these racks to anyone who needs to store their kayak.

Perfect for me
These worked great for hanging kayaks in a non-drywalled garage. I had them up in minutes and they seem like they're plenty sturdy. I have 12ft kayaks and even without using the strap, they're not going anywhere. For the price, they can't be beat. I'd recommend getting some star tipped screws instead of what they came with, but otherwise, they were perfect.

Great Rack!
I have used this rack for almost a year. It was easy to install, and very secure. I like how the arms swing in when not in use, so it can lay flat against the wall. This is also useful when loading by yourself - you can fold one in and place the nose of the kayak in the front hook to support the boat, while you fold out the back hook. My kayak stayed in this unused for about 8 months, and there was absolutely no distortion to the boat from resting on the arms. I also like the top straps that completely secure the boat to the rack. This probably isn't needed, however, I have young kids and I enjoy knowing that the kayak is securely attached to the wall while the kids are in the garage. I can't imagine a kayak storage rack performing any better.

Excellent way to store my kayak
Just mounted them on my garage wall. My 15 ft. Perception Expression kayak fit perfectly. They seem very sturdy compared to the other wall mounted "hook-type" holders at there. All hardware is included and everything seems like very good quality. The ability to swing them against the wall when not in use is a breeze by simply pulling a pin on the lower mounting hinge. The pin is also equipped with a lanyard so not to lose it.

good buy of the money
good buy of the money. bought for a 16' and 13' kayak, hold both well. because they are moveable, not suitable for sliding the kayaks back and forth once they are in the holders.....need to lift and move to center. would recommend for anyone not looking to spend more money on kayak holders.

They looked great and felt as if they were good quality
Bought two sets of these. They looked great and felt as if they were good quality, however, they only lasted one year of light use. Design is poor, eventually fails by bending where the J hook meets the bottom wall attachment. When purchased the weight rating was much higher, I believe it stated 100 lbs. Now it states it is only rated for 55 lbs. I guess they downgraded the load rating to match the inferior design. Rubber tears easily. Where the strap attaches there is an anchor and screw to keep the strap attached, one of those rusted out. Overall, a total failure. Both sets are now in the garbage. Cheap is cheap, spend a little more and get better quality.

Other than that seems to be working just fine, like the swivel out of the way feature
The nylon stand off brackets are not very strong and will mash and break if over tightened. Other than that seems to be working just fine, like the swivel out of the way feature.

excellent product
This purchase is my second set of Swagman Kayak storage cradles, because I loved the first set. Super easy to install, but I used 3 1/2 inch screws into 2x4 wall studs not the wall plugs and screws provided. In place and ready to use in minutes. Rotate flat against the wall when not in use. Easily support a 50lb touring kayak on one set and a 40lb WW kayak on the other. Mounted one above the other on same wall. Foam padding protects the kayak and has shown little wear after a year with the first set.

ALMOST perfect
Using for Kayaks (we both two sets). If they were about 4" wider at the base, they would be perfect. However, the padding, straps and ease of installation area are outstanding. Didn't even bother trying the crap screws that came with it (used lag bolts). Super sturdy and the straps are nice touch if worried about wind. Would highly recommend but realize your kayak will not sit in the bottom of the "U"....but a paddle board likely would.

Very good system.
Excellent rack system. I hung it on my wall with the supplied hardware... screwed into the wood studs. Very strong and fits my kayak perfectly. Each cradle pivots flat against the wall when not in use, which is a nicely added feature.

Great for a Roof carrier
I purchased the swagman for my Roof carrier. My garage is neat and my Roof carrier is on the wall. Easy installation.
