I bought these to clip in a vent cover to check the supply air temperature of my air conditioner. For quick reference I permanently leave the thermometer in the vent of the shortest air duct which is my laundry room. At a glance I can always check and see if the needle is pointing close to the 50-degree mark to tell me my air conditioner is working right.

Fairly Accurate But hard to read
My eyes aren't as good as they used to be so this is pretty hard to read. I did check the accuracy with boiling water and slushy water. It was spot on at boiling but off about one degree at freezing. Make sure NOT to hold it by its stem as it will affect the results.

I wanted to know what the temperature was coming out of my house vents. This worked great. I just stuck it in the vent, and it quickly gave me the temperature. This is the second one that I've purchased. I had one several years ago, but have lost it in the house somewhere. It's probably with my missing 10mm sockets :) I also used this for checking the A/C temperature coming out of my car vents. It is easy to read, and in my opinion, good value for the money.

Great for hvac
Very easy to calibrate (ice water test). Easy to read 2" dial. At less then $8 ea, great value. Purchased for temp rise/drop on furnace. Mounted semi permanent. I'm intrigued by everyday type mechanical systems, wanted to see real time info re: heating/cooling in my home. These fit the bill 100% (especially at less then $16 for 2). Know now that I'm where I should be as per info on furnace tag re: performance. Did it on sons furnace as well! ????

Well worth the price.This
This is a name that has been around for a long time and provides a good product. Unlike cheap and some more expensive thermometers this can be adjusted for accuracy. The extra couple of dollars is well worth it to get the bigger easier to read dial.

Good unit
I use this to keep track of my oil Temps on my mini bike drilled a hole through the dip stick and put the baby in there. And even with the vibration and rapping the needle around the gage abit. She still works great and seems to be on point with the Temps
