Great line, love the suction cup

The suction cup is a nice touch to making the process of spooling it up easy enough. It works okay in a pinch an out on the water I would use it, but at home I've got the rod attachments to do it properly. The line looks thinner than I would have expected, but has held up well so far and I haven't broken it off yet despite ripping on it very hard to get my frogs out of the sticks.

Thin, but mighty braided line

This fishing line is rated for 10lbs and it held up to 10.5lbs. Despite being a thin braided line, it didn't snap as quickly as I would have expected. Although it may be more expensive than other brands, the quality justifies the price. Having your line snap while reeling in a fish is frustrating, so investing in a reliable line like this one is worth it. At the time of this review, this was going for $10.83 for 150 yards.

Quality Braided Fishing Line

The braided line is well made and a vibrant yellow. It seems to be abrasion resistant and cast pretty well.

Strong, smooth, and holds color well.

I am using this line on one of my finesse spinning rigs. First off, the line goes on very smoothly and lays on the reel nice and even. There was plenty of line to fill my 2500 size reel. I like using high visibility line on my finesse rigs in order to easily see line movement, but often I would notice a layer of yellow powder after spooling up the first time. I did not deal with that using this line. After sever trips out it has held its color well. Knot strength is great with very little slippage in spite of the smooth, slick nature of this line. It also casts beautifully. Finally the strength is great. I am using this primarily on rivers fishing for smallmouth bass. I have landed fish up to 19" so far on this line without any failure on the lines part. Really impressed with the quality and performance.

Good braid

I've used a few different weighs of Contra braid on bait casters. I like it a lot more than the arachnid brand. The braids are tighter woven and casts are smoother. The suction cup idea works ok, but not as well as a good spooler.

Great line so far

I use a lot of braided line, usually PowerPro for 50lbs+ and cheap Chinese line for under 30lbs. I can tell this is a lot better quality than the normal 10 lb braid I use. It is slick, thin, and feels a lot smoother than the 4 braid line I use. It is very thin and strong, with a matte neon yellow color that looks good on the reel. There is no stretch at all. I have to replace my cheap braid after a year in the salt water as it just disintegrates and becomes fragile, so I will have to test this out longer to see its durability. I think I would stay replace braided line every year or two though. The spool comes with a suction cup and a tightening center pin for spooling but the suction cup will not stick for more than 2 seconds so that is useless. I would take that off and use a spooler, or a pencil if you're going DIY.
