Very impressed

I did a lot of research while looking for a headlamp for hunting. I had my mind set on a different product, but happened on this at the last minute. I was a little skeptical because the linens aren’t great, but I was honestly very impressed when I used it for the first time last weekend. Not only is it bright, it is almost as bright as my expensive tactical flashlight. I paired it with the boot light as well and I honestly couldn’t be happier with my purchase. Using the white light, red or blue (depending on what you need it for), you will be very impressed with this product. I will continue to purchase these products from now on!

First off the Product did show up on time and packaged very well, no issues there at all! If you are looing for a headlamp that will last or stand the age of time this would be it. What you pay for this product you will save in replacement headlamps I'm sure of. I have used it on hikes and it is very easy to wear and at no time did it bother me nor did not feel like my head was being weighed down. I've used it on night/early morning hikes on the low setting, there was plenty of light to illuminate the trail. No issues with using AA batters and the life of the batters seem to be comparable. This product is not a race horse, but a work horse so if that is what your looking for this will be the product for you. I like the fact that I can unclip the headband and attach the headlamp to a pack strap or what ever and dummy cord it. I liked it so much I bought it's big brother as well and it worked equally well in camp and on the trail. Did I mention how light it seems on your head as you wear it!!!

Very Nice

I was easily able to attach this light to the side of my helmet, under the lip. There is just enough adjustment to get the beam into the center of view. The white LED is much brighter than the small Stream Light it replaced indoors, but while fighting a brush fire in wooded ravines at night I noticed it has a little less range. It does have a wider area of illumination, with a bright center that gets dimmer and then fades to black at the edges, maybe 40-50 yards out on each side when looking into the distance. I have not had an opportunity to use it in conjunction with thermal imaging equipment or night vision equipment, so cannot comment on that. The light is easy to turn on and adjust the brightness even with heavy turn-out gloves on. When I wanted to dismount it and use it as a hand light, I found it difficult to do. I was not able to reattach it by feel, but had to remove my helmet to do so. I think that with some practice, I could get the angles right, but it still would be difficult, especially with heavy gloves on. All in all, I am very happy with this purchase. It won't replace a large hand lantern, but for a helmet light, it is great!

The best tactical lamp set I've ever had!!!

Had it for a month now and using daily. It does everything what they say it does and more. They say it works with CR123 and AA batteries...wrong. It works with CR123, AA and AAA batteries. Of course the run time is shorter with AA and even shorter with AAA but if in sticky situation and that's all you have, you get out of the pickle. Helmet mount works like a charm. Very light wearing on your head (I wear it mostly strapped to my belt; you don't even notice it's there) and considering the competition has some stronger and brighter lamps, this is enough. You don't need all these lumens in the dark...unless you do some search-and-rescue on a really big landscape. In tactical terms you have to use less light to keep yourself concealed from the enemy anyways. Having blue, red and IR is awesome. Have dropped it by accident few times on concrete...good as new. Love this lamp!

Not as bright as I thought it was going to be, but this definitely packs a punch for admin uses or enclosed spaces. I wouldn't use this for hiking solely because it is not terribly bright, but the different color light modes are nice, there is apparently an IR mode as well but I have no way of testing it out, so I don't know if its real or not. I have this on my plate carrier and it serves me well. Its nice having peace of mind that I can use three types of batteries in this (CR 123, AAA, AA), so I have very little chance of not having the right battery on hand. The clip likes to stay in the place you set it to, and its thick and firm enough to not bend or wobble. The light intensity modes are another great touch. Overall this is a wonderful product that I would recommend.

Good light, poor MOLLE attachment.

Great light. I don't recommend trying to use the MOLLE attachment to hold the light on the front of a vest, or ruck. Mine was lost on the first trip out. Keep it on your head, or in your ruck and it will give you a long service life. The light itself is well built, and lightweight. The multiple battery option is a real plus. The button is silent. I also like how it starts with the dimmest setting and gets brighter vs. the the other way around. The led selector seitch is intuitive, too. Just remember the phrase, “IR (I are), Red, White, and Blue”, and you know which led your selecting in the dark using the tactile indicators. This is a good, functional light that does what it’s designed to do well. Streamlight did a good job with this light.

It lasted one year.

I loved this headlamp! It isn't super bright but the battery's last a long time. I use it at work (aircraft line mechanic) 4 days a week in all weather conditions without any problems. I would give it 5 stars but after one year of use it stopped working. Cheap headlamps only last me 6 months but this wasn't cheap and I expected much more. As mentioned in other reviews, the micro switch solder joints broke free. Since it is out of warrantee, I soldered the tiny switch back in place and it is working again. I think I will surround the back side of the switch with hot glue to give it some more support. Streamlight makes good products but I don't know if I would buy it again, I need something a little more durable. For the infrequent user it would be good enough for years of use.

the switch stopped working!!! no option to return for refund... clip snapped off, EXPENSIVE CRAP QUALITY, BUT GOOD IDEA IF IT WORKED....

Hubby is Happy!

I purchased this for my husband who is always losing his head torches when out on exercise. I thought that if I spent a little more money on the item, then he may just take extra care and not lose it! So far, so good!! This one was also recommended to us by our American military friend who swore by this so having purchased and tried and test it, the hubby really likes it and says it performs so well at night when he's out field. He said it's got the perfect range and fits neat and snug onto his uniform. He is very happy with this which is the main thing. If he were to lose it (finger crossed he doesn't) then yes, I'd definitely buy this one again.

Multifunktionslampe

Cooles Teil. Der Drehschalter: Mega! Versehentliches Einschalten des Weißlicht ist schwierig. Unzählige Anbringungsmöglichkeiten, robust und leicht! Sie ist zwar kein Lichtmonster aber das soll sie gar nicht sein. Die Batterie musste ich seit einem halben Jahr bisher noch nicht wechseln.

Die Kopflampe?...

Ich besitze jetzt diese Stirnlampe einen Monat lang und bin extrem angetan von diesem Teil. Es ist nicht nur eine Kopflampe welche wie eine einfache Chinabüchse stupide Licht nach vorne bläst, nein es ist etwas mehr als das. Die Entwickler haben ihre Hausaufgaben gemacht! Ich hatte lange nach einer guten Stirnlampe gesucht, welche folgende Kriterien aufweisen mußte. 1. robust 2. verschiedene Lichtfarben und Helligkeitsstufen 3. Betrieb mit AA-Batterien im Notfall wenn keine Lithium Batterie zur Hand ist 4. leicht (sowohl in der Masse als auch in der Bedienung) - mein Resümee: all diese Punkte meistert Sie mit Bravour, auch die Helligkeit (immer 4 Stufen in allen Leuchtmodi) ist für den Fortbewegungsmodus, der Nahsicht als auch der Ausleuchtung auf mehre Meter sehr gut. Sie ist kein Schnäppchen, aber jeden Cent wert...
