Delivered on time!
I used this as a temporary device until a permanent grab bar could be installed Worked fine. Only use as directed.

Easy to use
It is large enough to fit large hands. You squeeze the 2 halves of the handle together to lock it to wall. It does not stay up on the wall beyond 2 hours. It is solid when attached but falls off later.

This isn't our first line of defense for safety and stability, but it fills in well when those times the 2-cup models aren't ava
04/17/15 Update: We recently took a trip to Las Vegas and took this Traveler with us. It didn't take up much space or weight, but sure came in handy in helping us keep our balance when getting in or out of the tub after a shower. We were glad to have it along. As an afterthought, this could also be handy when moving a sheet of glass, plastic, or metal. ✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯✯ This is a nice handle to grab onto for stability and safety. It does what it does well ' provided you have the proper surface, and prepare it well (This is critical, and where some have had unsatisfactory results. Overall, I recommend the OXO bar mentioned in the last paragraph of this review. It has two cups for more strength, and so that if one cup fails the other will hopefully remain to support your balance (don't depend on these to support your weight.) This has a special place and application for use when traveling or when we need something to hang onto wherever there's a chance of slipping or losing balance. Again, ensure it's being placed on a very smooth, impervious, and clean surface. Then test it before each time you might place yourself in a compromised position. I'd bought this for the other end of the tub from the "OXO Good Grips StrongHold Suction Grip Bar" that I purchased on Amazon at the same time. You should be able to get to the OXO grip by searching for the quoted title, or from this shortened Amazon link: http://amzn.to/1LcROXo (If you're suspicious about the link (and these days you should be), note the shortened Amazon name; and the product name "OXO". The rest of it is Amazon's coding.

bought for suitcase, used at home, bought another:)
In the fishing lodge cabins I've gone to, they all had fiberglass add-on showers. No bars to grab onto. I bought the Safe-r-grip to put in my suitcase. Since the China virus stopped all travel, I used this in my shower at home. At first it was a test, but it worked so well it's now a "permanent" fixture on the shower wall. I test it with a little tug before I step into the tub. So far it has not come off in my hand. It has fallen off on its own twice, not bad for over a year. A friend recently had shoulder surgery and needed something to help get him in the shower, and this did the trick. Easy to use: clean the wall, rotate handle apart, press onto wall, close handle. Don't try to put your full weight on it.

serves purpose well, but cheap construction.
This is perfect for my needs. I have a sliding door that is used very frequently, and sometimes it gets hard to open. The original 'handle' on the door is a tiny slot that I have to dig my fingers into, and if my carpal tunnel is flaring up, my hand is too weak and/or in pain to open the door. This grip makes it a lot easier to pulll the door open, and it stays on the glass quite well. I passed by a medical supply store, and these Mommy's Helper products are being sold for more than double the price listed here. The reason I don't give it 5 stars is because the construction is rather cheap. I have had it on my door for a week or so, and one night it snapped apart. I gathered the pieces and realized that none of it had broken or cracked, but that a small pin slipped out, and was not difficult for me to put back together. I have been keeping my eye on it, and see that this will be a chronic problem, as the pin gradually slides out over a short time, and I have to push the pin back in often. This is a minor inconvenience for me, but might be major for other customers.

Stays put
I bought this to put my foot on while I shave my legs, which is not what it is intended for. But it stays pretty well as long as I don't put too much weight on it. You have to stick it to dry tile or it will just slide down the wall. Which is really just how sciencey stuff works...if you were needing it as a balance only and stick it down on dry tile then I would recommend this. Not so much for holding up your leg for shaving...

Weak grip.
This will not work in our bathroom which has granite tiles on the wall. After reading the instructions we placed it on the bathroom wall to use as a handle when stepping out of the shower, it adhered to the wall with no problems, we stepped into the kitchen to continue our daily chores and we heard a thud in the bathroom, I walked to the bathroom and found the handle on the floor. I returned it immediately. Maybe it works well on other surfaces, but it did not work for me.

Meets requirements.
Got two of these. One for an in-shower balancing hand-hold; the other, with the help of a few 's' hooks, used to nicely support a do-nut shaped hand-held shower head. Latter feature useful for sitting on a shower bench where the 'rain' height can be adjusted to suit an individual's preferences. A thin ring of vacuum grease around the periphery of the vacuum cup always an option if a more permanent location is intended. Time will tell if the 5 * rating is truly justified. We're good.

So far so good!
I was expecting a much bigger handle, but overall I am quite amazed at its design and sturdiness. I am aware that one should be careful when using such products, so I try to use them as secondary help, not full primary support. They (meaning I have purchased 4 total now) offer great flexibility to be installed strategically on any 4 x 4 inch tiles on my bathtub wall as to have some secondary balance support when getting in and out of the bathtub. But remember, it is not prudent to hang you full weight on it in my opinion, as you are taking unnecessary risks if you do in my opinion.

Perfect Portable Device
Wow! This device is perfect for our camper. I used to grab the sink on occasion and was worried that I would pull it off the wall eventually. With this device I feel confident that it will hold for me. We installed it in seconds in the bathroom, then removed it just as quickly and reinstalled it in a better location. Perfectly portable and secures immediately - no waiting to see if it will hold on. I feel very confident using it. It is larger than I assumed and that is a good thing. I can grab it well with either hand. I can see that this would be great for anyone travelling, especially if you are a bit unsteady or you are moving - like a cruise ship shower. It just needs a flat wall space. It is very light weight too.

Traveler safety grip
Mommys Helper Traveler Safe-er-Grip Bathtub is great for travel. I also take those stick on strips for slippery tub/shower combinations and for slippery tiled showers and leave them there at the Hotel for others to use as the Housekeepers clean the area daily and they stick really well even with scrubbing! This grip is small, light and comes in so handy and the suction cups hold well and it can be reused many times! A good buy for not too much money and worth the purchase if you travel or spend the night at a friends!
