Perfect size but fragile.
These totes are the perfect size for storing my client’s records, but, and the reason for 4 stars, I get one broken tote with every order. Very disappointing.

Great Choice for Clear Storage Containers
I purchased these containers to store items that I use on a daily basis. I had a small 3-drawer chest that held items such as socks and underwear. The chest was quite old and falling apart from years of use. Now, with these clear storage containers, I am using them in place of the chest to store my socks and underwear. Easy to access, grab what I need.

Great costumer service
I had one previously that was a lil shorter. Great for comics. For this reason I decided to get more, being taller meant more comics lol When it came, one bin was cracked with a hole, and none of the bins had latches. Contacted the seller, the responded very quickly and shipped out replacements just as fast with no extra charge or hassle.

Acutal product is good for my purpose of storing DVDs which it can do at 28-30 in their privided paper and/or plastic DVD boxes they were sold in, to include the pictures etc. I wanted clear so I could see the titles display outwards, and easy stacking and/or storage and transportation during times. THE WEIRD thing about this product is the MFGR. PROS: - given above CONS: - fragile: They are subject to easy breaks/damage: plastic is NOT PVC material and I have seen them drop and a side piece flake/break off. - PRODUCT NUMBERING/PART-NUMBERING system: SUCKS. I first saw this product at a higher price at my local hardware store. Bought one to see viability and found it 'adequate' enough for storing my 300+ DVD [honestly with Netflix etc. I should donate this stuff] BUT, the price at the store was about $9/each. ENTER AMAZON and the search. Using AMAZON's BAR code search APP on my cell I found these in packages of SIX from STERILITE with the SAME product/part -number: NOT SO when I order the Amazon equivalent it was NOT the same. The container size is the same but the mechanics of the lid, and design are different. Then, what I received was missing a lid. So, I went to the hardware store, bought a small box with the same lid that fit on the previous large container I bought from them in trial earlier, and as they fit, I thought My need for a lid was over: NOT, this was how I found the same product code had different designs. While AMAZON return was easy, I would have to take my chances on getting another batch that would not be damaged, missing an item and/or same BS as design problems. I decided to keep the low cost FIVE at about $6.50 each, buy the additional five I needed and be done with the hassle. I bet, dollars to donut holes, that this box I received has been bounce about from customer to customer which is why you see such a large response to 'damaged', 'missing' etc etc. No one at AMAZON's third party rechecks the insides. and, while AMAZON is notorious for over packaging items with boxes in boxes and padding it all overkill [like a tooth pick in a suitcase and tons of padding--honestly Amazon how do you make money] this one came ORIGINAL with no padding: EASILY able to be dropped/broken etc. The FIVE stars relate to the viability of DVD storage. The -1 star is the rest.

A great value in file storage boxes at this price.
The file boxes arrived promptly. The price was right. The way in which the plastic boxes were nested, the ridges inside where the hanging folders hang were pushed toward each other in a couple of the boxes so that the hanging folders did not hang properly. I had to use a couple of 12-inch clamps to reshape those boxes to the right dimensions to enable the file hangers to hang properly. Now, no problem.

These showoffs are not as sturdy as when they were originally made years ago. The do not stack as neatly and take more room to store.

Decent value for $ in a hanging file folder box, but lid / handle could be sturdier--
I got tired of pulling dusty file folders from my open file boxes, and decided to look for some lidded storage--this product was pretty clearly the best of the bunch that I researched in terms of function and value. It doesn't get 5 stars, though, since although it's decent for the price, it is not that sturdy---don't expect to be able to feel secure by picking it up by the little handle on top, because it is definitely not designed or manufactured with enough strength such that the user could pack the file box with a bunch of heavy folders / papers and still pick it up by the handle. Stacking stability is decent but not great; the top / bottom fit is not as secure as some other stacking Sterilite bins that I have at home. The lid also does not lock as securely as older Sterilite items (see below). Unfortunately, the trend towards flimsier materials seems to be the path Sterilite is taking with the majority of its home storage products--some years ago, I bought a bunch of the 70 qt (?) storage bins--the large ones for XMas decorations etc, and when I went to buy a few more recently, I saw that Sterilite had replaced the previous white plastic cover with a flimsier clear plastic cover and the lid lock wasn't nearly as good (yet the price had not gone down!). So overall, trends toward cheaper build quality notwithstanding, you will probably be happy with this little file box as long as you're not expecting extreme sturdiness---it does fit the hanging letter files (like Pendaflex) very nicely, and its design is unobtrusive. Probably your best value on the market right now for a lidded hanging file folder; recommended with slight reservations about the flimsy lid/handle.
