Excellent value
These four trash cans are great. Great size for an additional can in your house. The fact they are covered means trash does not attract flies. Great for many different rooms. Great size!

Thin as can be. It's a trash can but barely
Based on the price point, I wasn't expecting commercial-grade trash cans, but I have to say, these are perhaps about as thin an cheap as one could get. It has the Sterilite name, but it's hardly like the other ones I own. Very thin, which is fine, but the lid is horrible. The lips which keeps the lid closed is so tiny and it barely overlaps the clip which springs it open. I often pop the top open on mine just by bumping it with my leg. I'm going to make it a little more secure, but in my opinion, it should be more secure to begin with. 3/5 stars because of poor design of the lid.

Great for Humid Environment
Was looking for a small garbage can to leave outside in a humid environment. This works great and does not rust. Very easy to clean.

Solid garbage can
Great garbage bin with cover. I’m not sure what I’ll do with 2 extras but for the price for four it was cheaper to buy 4 than going for the two I needed.

Wish thy were a little thicker/sturdier
Value is good just concerned with it cracking as they seem kind of thinner than I expected. I'm hoping I'm wrong. Also different color options would have been nice as black shows every fingerprint & liquid spots and lighter colors would hide them better

Very Nice
This is a very nice little waste bucket. Sturdily made even though it's plastic. The foot step opener works very well and seems solid like it will last. I love the way you can tuck the top of a trash bag around the edge and it traps it in so the bag top doesn't keep falling in. I use it to put a day or two of scoopings from my cats litter box in and it the top seals so well that no odor comes out. And surprisingly it was two for such a low price! I didn't realize that when I ordered it. I highly recommend these buckets!!

Perfect size
Love the size. Have a smaller size stainless steel (different brand ) trash can that can hardly fit anything and is already rusting after a few months. Only downside is there are some scratches on both trash cans but at least it won't rust!

Starlight 2 gal step-On wastebaskets are great.
The wastebasket fits snugly beside the toilet. The step on feature with a lid that closes tightly is perfect for the bathroom. The closed lid hides any possible odors or visible garbage. The insert lifts out easily for bag changing. I bought some small 2g size bags on rolls so I leave a roll in each wastebasket underneath the clean bag so it is conveniently there when it is time to change the bag. I originally bought one of these wastebaskets from Canadian Tire, and when I found out how much I liked it tried to buy another but the store didn't have any inventory due to the supply chain. I had kept the label to ID the product so I researched it on Amazon and I was delighted to find them there, so ordered two more. (Thank you Amazon) I also ordered the bags from Amazon.

Much flimsier then older models, even with careful use.
Edit: one out of four lid latches dead after 6 months, 2 of 4 lids at 12 months, third one now giving out at the 18 month mark. The much older version that was relegated to the porch? Still working well after years in the house and two winters outside. I think I might just give that one a scrub and bring it back in. Original review: They look quite nice, the glossy surface will show scuffs if they're bumped around, and the lids work well for the time being. The lid design is not the kind that pop open with one push and click shut again when you push them closed. Pushing on the lever tilts the catch just enough that the lid is free to open on springs. It has two springs that do the job but aren't terrribly strong; I can see myself tinkering with some of them in the near future to address their "laziness". Similarly, the dark grey latch is a piece of plastic with a bend it that's snapped into place and overlaps a catch on the lid by 1/4 inch. It's a design that relies on the idea that the plastic is high enough quality that it will continue to recover every time it's bent. So it'll only bend so many times, but Sterilite plastic is fairly resistant. [edit: used to be!] It's hard get a sense of their size based on the picture, but they're very roughly 12" across, 18" high, and the depth is somewhere in between. They're high enough that you can access the lid without much stooping, but small enough that you can put them in a very enclosed space where it would be difficult to access the bottom [like you would need with a step can]. They're perfect for that bit of unused space in the corner of a room where two pieces of furniture meet, for example.
