Don't expect this to be as good as OEM

I expected this to be as good as OEM but was disappointed. The Head itself is not a tight fit on the shaft. However they give you a toothed washer to hold it on, so it is usable. The nut was fine and is threaded properly for RH thread shaft. The spool is what I was most disappointed in. On first glance I notice the top did not have arrows to indicate which direction to wind the string. The good news is It did come fully wound with string. However from my last "lesser name" head purchase I was not sure if was wound in the right direction because of the missing arrows that OEM spools have on them. So I unwound all the string to see if there was another indicator. To my surprise the spool is a single winding with two pre-cut lengths of string wound together. And when you inspect the center of the spool there are no holes to stick the string into for starting the rewind. These were taped on the center with no arrows or way to rewind new string without using tape. What this says to me is this was intended for a one time use spool. Not exactly what I had in mind when it says it replaces OEM part.

Only lasted 25 minutes; the last one lasted ten years

I have a Homelite trimmer that I've used 3-4 times a year for the past ten years. The old head was pretty beat up, and was missing the grommets for the string, and was having a tough time feeding the line. I bought this head, and after only 25 minutes of use, it shattered. I wasn't doing anything different than I have done in the past decade, using the same trimmer. Not very rugged.
