Came Broken

Updated this to 3 stars because Steelex sent me the broken part and it does work pretty good. If it wasn't for the 2 broken parts , itd be 4 stars. ________________________________ This installed relatively easily (you have to take everything apart on it to install it). It came with a broken stop switch, which I discovered after it was installed. I'm not sure if I got a repackaged return or if it was not inspected at the factory. While i'm waiting for the new part, it only works in one direction. The knob that controls the speed came unglued during the first few attempts at light use (it only works one direction, I cant do much with it). I'm not sure if I got a shoddy one of it these are a step above industrial junk. I reached out to the manufacturer and will update if they respond. Until then, I cannot recommend buying this.

Works...Technically speaking

It works... if you are a machinist who has used a power feed on a Bridgeport mill you will be disappointed. To operate the unit, you must have the feed knob turned to zero, flip the direction switch and then turn the feed knob up to make it go....for every movement. You cannot set a feed rate and simply hit the direction knob for consistent continuous work you would expect. The switches on the stop switch were installed backwards and the mount for the stop switch is not the same as in the pictures in the instructions. One positive is instillation is pretty simple for the most part. Overall I am glad I didn't pay anywhere near $500 for this and they kinda have ya because to adapt any other power feed would take substantial modifications and parts being made.

Received used, inoperable and missing parts. Sent it back, twice. A bad purchase.

The unit is designed for the Shopfox M1111 . However, the unit I received had already been used, and after I installed it, I realized it had no stops included. The unit did not operate, and it was scratched, dented and used. I sent it back, and after 1 month, the same unit came back, but they included the missing parts. Since it was still used and still didn’t work, I will send it back again, but not purchase this unit. If you get a used looking one, send it back, as it is the one I received twice. This was a 400.00 purchase, plus warranty, and I would suggest not purchasing from Amazon as their seller believes used and broken is the same as new. It bolts on easily, but never turned on other than to light up. I am going to try the other type of unit, less expensive and hopefully new.

Works great!

I love this thing. After I installed it on my Shop Fox mill I just started turning everything I could put my hands on to chips. Very easy to bolt up.
