Perfect for Angel Food Cake

Bought this cake pan and baked my first angel food cake. The cake turned out perfect. The pan is a little lighter than I expected and not sure how it will hold up in the long-run, but for the price, I'm satisfied with my purchase.

This Pan WORKS!!

Because of previous good reviews I decided to give it a try. Yes, the pan is flimsy & thin. Yes, when you turn it upside down there are gaps where the loose centre piece fits into the outside ring. BUT YES to the most amazing first time Angel food cake I ever baked out of it. I used Martha Stewart’s tips on YouTube on Angel food cake & I’m so happy with this pan I might gift it to friends ✅

Excellent pan

I tried three other angel food cake pans before this one, to replace my beat up old 70's nonstick. The first was a heavy, cast one piece and the worst excuse of a pan I've ever owned. I couldn't get the cake out of it nor could I get it clean, it had no legs, and the tube opening was too small for any bottle in my kitchen, including tabasco. Wasted almost $30 and it went into the trash. The other two rusted along the rim after the out-of-the-box washing. Sent each one back. This one is PERFECT. The cake cooked perfectly, came out readily, and this pan cleaned more easily than the old nonstick. There was no leaking. Those reviewers must not be baking angel food, which is not batter - it's meringue with flour and sugar mixed in. Even during washing, very little water leaked out so you could probably use it for pound cake. You need THIS pan!

Will likely work but arrived bent...luckily so flimsy that I was able to bend it back into the proper general shape.

The light color makes ALL the difference!

The light color and light weight of this pan helps the angel food cake to stay light and airy. Darker colored pans may be cheaper, but this lighter one is worth the extra money! And the lift on the top of the pan for cooling is an added bonus. I love to bake. And angel food cakes with strawberries and whip cream are one of my favorites!

Pan bends easily but works good

I sell my cakes and have used many different tube pans. I ordered 2 pans, one pan was warped (see photo) but after a few tries I was able to flatten it. I don't mind the thin metal because my cakes don't brown as much compared to the Wilton tube pan. This pan tapers at bottom which is normal for all tube pans. Bottom diameter measures 8.25" and top diameter measures 9.75." I will purchase another 2 for my business. Overall, it'll do the job but must be gentle cleaning it since the metal is thin and I've dented mine already. I soak in water and use a toothbrush to wash.

Had to use an SOS pad to clean

Nice pan worked well-cake came out high and fluffy BUT after soaking for 10 minutes and the baked crumbs would not come off. Use a soft sponge, then a plastic scrubby. Let it soak for 15 minutes in hot soapy water but still could not get it to clean up. So finally used an SOS pad scrubbing softly. Still left some cake residue. Now I will have to look for another cake pan.

Arrived Damaged

Unfortunately, the angel food pan arrived damaged. The box that it was packaged in was not damaged at all so the item was shipped damaged. The item itself looks as advertised but unfortunately I was unable to use as the insert did not fit and batter would leak.

Works like a charm

I wanted an Angel good cake pan that was like commercial ones I used to use. This fit the bill and has not disappointed. With the legs it keeps the cake inverted while it cools and the Center core is the perfect height to ensure it also stays in place while cooling. Very happy.
