Happy with this model

Overall happy with this model, (4/5) feels pretty durable, when assembling the hand piece to the hose connection make sure the indent tab is in the right position or it wont seat correctly before tightening down. Only a few gripes; #1 the hose is a larger diameter/volume hose than i'm use to which makes it a lil stiffer to maneuver around but maybe this gives more pressure i'm not sure because it does spray pretty well. #2 the spray wand itself is plastic and flimsy I prefer the stiff metal ones because at times I use a fast zig-zag dispersion motion and this causes the plastic to bend quite a bit.

Solid and Sturdy

So tired of purchasing sprayers and not being pleased. This is the exception. Solid and sturdy, holds pressure and an excellent spray. Yes I’m happy !!!

Almost perfect pump-sprayer, except for not sealing completely

I use a pump sprayer for my roses, and this one seems ideal except it seems to be leaking air no matter how tightly I screw on the lid. I looks like it might be missing a gasket that would help seal it. Now must go to the hardware store or look online for a suitable gasket. Otherwise, it works well.

A real professional sprayer

After using a cheaper product for almost a year, only to have it lose its ability to compress air, this one just seems light years better. It's much sturdier, has a heavy duty feel to it, and its easy to open and close.

A good sprayer with little upkeep.

The last one lasted 3 years. That is pretty good the way we use it. We use it for weed and insect control around a grain facility. Wish it had a brass wand rather than the plastic.

Excellent Quality

I've had cheap sprayers, which equate to be poor sprayers. I'm not a professional yard-man, but I do like the yard that I maintain to look nice. I got ProVista grass, so I can spray RoundUp on it to kill the weeds. I do this on a regular basis. I looked around for a good sprayer, and settled on this one. The size is perfect, 2 gallon, as more would be too heavy and less would be not able to spray much of anything. When I'm finished I make sure to rinse it out with Reverse Osmosis water, so there is no buildup, and it continues to work excellent.

Big but Beautiful

I was hesitant due to the increased price, but man was it worth it. These things are really great. I am a patio gardener and use this to water my garden, saves me trips back inside to fill up. The nozzle is very good, has a brass tip and can vary from spray to stream. I had an issue with air leaking out through the middle of the top, where the handle goes into the pump, and I found that alot of dirt had gotten into the pump system. So I cleaned it all out, put a little vasolene on the pump mechanism and put it back together, and has been going strong since! So if you are losing pressure, don't throw it away! These are actually really reliable and can last for years with proper care. I highly recommend.

Good, but I had to modify it to work better.

I use the sprayer multiple times every day in my small dairy and there are lots of things I like about it compared to my previous sprayer. I particularly like the 1/2" hose which is much less prone to freezing in cold weather. It's definitely sturdy and has a good pressure release button, which was another thing on my previous sprayer that was poorly designed. I only use the sprayer for a few seconds each time so a full tank lasts for a couple of weeks but I found that it would lose pressure as soon as the water level dropped below the end of the pump cylinder. As shown in the photos, I've modified the unit by gluing a piece of ABS pipe onto the end of the pump cylinder so the water level has to drop much further before it losses pressure. This works well. If you do this be aware that ABS cement doesn't work well. A 2-part epoxy is more effective.

Way better than the home depot equivalent

I've used this Chapin sprayer about 2-3 times a week for the entire lawn care season this year which is roughly 4 months. I have the 2 gallon version and I spray about 1.25 gallons each time I use it....sometimes filling it to maximum capacity but Ive never filled right to the top or even gone above the 2 gallon mark near the top. The extra tank space above 2 gallons is required for proper pressure to build. (Like in all pump tanks) Before this I used the Home Depot equivalent sprayer, the same 2 gallon capacity the same everything and the quality and performance difference is honestly much more than I expected. Its a huge difference, literally makes the Home depot version a toy. But I still keep it for the rare time I use the home depot spayer for round up. Its worth the extra cash...its about $40 more than the home depot but I'm sincerely saying I used just the home depot for 2 seasons and the chapin is so much better, just the filters alone. The pressure release the nozzle selection and all the add on available (but not required its awesome with the sprayer tips it comes with, and it came with more than just one, the red tip I liked better than the brass tip because its a fan pattern. That comes with it. It also has a hole for a shoulder strap you just gotta notice its there and punch out the thin plastic covering the pre made hole. 3 different filters.....that alone is huge but each pump fills pressure so much faster, it can spray a gallon i bet in 1/3rd the time itbtake the home depot and I wasn't used to that, I had to really learn to go easy with herbacides because the output is phenomenal. Its really good.

Tried others and this is the winner

Over the years I have tried other similar products and this is the winner. Craftmanship and overall components are way way better than any other competitors in this price range. Other similar products would break after a year or two even if I maintained and cleaned them properly. This one is sturdy and fittings, tubes, nozzle and container are very well designed and built. This is the winner.

High quality

Great sprayer. High quality materials. Nice spray pattern. Easy to pump. Only complaint is there’s nowhere to clip the wand onto the container. There are little clips but the wand just slides down and doesn’t stay attached. I use if for pre-spraying my car with Optimum No Rinse prior to washing.

Great Sprayer

You are paying for more than disposable junk. But if you want a good sprayer, consider this: Good pump that performs well and is serviceable. Supple hose. Nozzle has predictable and constant dispersion pattern. All parts are replaceable and available.
