Flimsy Quality

This is my second Norpro Lemon Juicer, i purchased my first one 4yrs ago and i love it. This one however is just flimsy. It is half the weight, the hinge is sloppy and feels like it will brake under pressure even the coating is so finely laid down you can still see the metal underneath. Really disappointed.

IF YOU DON'T LOVE IT, MAYBE YOU'RE USING IT WRONG!

If you use this juicer (or others like it - there are several brands here at Amazon) PROPERLY, you'll LOVE them. Place the lemon in the "bowl" of the juicer SKIN SIDE UP. This is counterintuitive... our natural tendency is to place the fruit in the bowl, skin side down. Put the fruit in skin side UP, and the juicer WORKS GREAT! It'll darn near turn the lemon inside out, and wring out a LARGE percentage of juice. (No mechanical juicer will get every last drop.) So with due respect to all of the one and two star reviewers: As others like me have pointed out - with NO disrespect intended - if you have a problem with this type of juicer you're putting the citrus in UPSIDE DOWN. If you do, there's a good chance you will BREAK this type of juicer. It's a matter of physics and mechanical advantage, not product quality! As I mentioned, there are other brands available here at Amazon. When I'm looking for VALUE (such as when I'm buying a kitchen gadget/tool I don't plan to use every day) I stick with Norpro: great VALUE across most of their product line. I highly recommended their juicers (there are at least FOUR in the Norpro "family" - orange, lemon, lime and a general-purpose stainless steel one.)

Hand wash only

This worked really well for us but was washed in the dishwasher and the yellow finish melted and warped. I recommend only hand washing.

It’s amazing how easy it easy to squeeze and doesn’t hurt my hands I love how I get the most juice possible. Love it!

So so

I received mine today and I'm a little disappointed by the quality. While it is metal it's very late and hollow and not as heavy as I assumed it would be. There are also smudges all over and if it did not have its packaging I would think that this had been used before. Hopefully the quality is better than I am expecting as I haven't used it yet but I am considering returning.

Wonderfully designed device

Extremely well thought out design for the easy and efficient squeezing of lemons. Had one almost identical to this one (maybe an older version) and I just plain wore it out. Be very sure you use it correctly because it's counter-intuitive. My wife tried it and said it sucked. That's because she had the lemon half in upside down. One looks at the round contour and thinks, obviously the round part of the lemon half fits into the round part of the device. That's backwards, the flat side of the cut half lemon faces the curved in contour towards the juice holes. Works like a charm when used properly.

Too small for lemons but works ok on limes.

This is sold as a lemon juicer but it is too small. A few years ago I purchased a different Norpro juicer; it was sold as a lime juicer, had a polished finish and solid handles. When I order this I assumed it would be larger than the lime juicer; it is not - it is the same size as the lime juicer. If you want to juice limes this will do the job. if you want to juice lemons get the larger orange one - it does a great job on lemons. I am returning this one.

Very sturdy construction. Been wanting one of these for years and glad I got it. Beats using a juicer when you need to get some quick juice from a lemon.
