High Quality!
The media could not be loaded. I have had other cable locks in the past for securing my sportube through airport security and the coating around the cable lock would always fail and tear away. This cable is much thicker than other locks and holds up much better for securing ski gear. Highly recommend for securing ski gear through airport security.

Probably worth the extra cost.
Seems like a decent product. Was a bit more expensive than other options but it is thicker than those. It survived a full round trip through TSA and to the mountains. TSA did leave a note on the way out, so the TSA feature works! Probably worth the extra cost. It did receive some digs in the coating around the cable coating. Probably 5 stars if that would have survived a full round trip.

Good Lock
Nice sturdy lock, the cable is thicker than regular loop locks. My only gripe is that it is a bit difficult to unlock and lock, which worries me when it comes to the TSA. Just used it on a trip to Aspen and there were no issues with it, so I am happy to pay the higher price. I did not attach this to my SportTube case as I have heard and seen in person issues with the TSA getting it back in the holes to lock the case properly, so I put my hard case inside my soft case and locked the zippers up. No issues.

A little tricky to open, but once you get the hang of it, it’s easy. Also, easy to change combination. Follow the instructions.

Great for securly sending your sport tube
Works well on my large sport tube. The thicker cable definitely made a difference compared to other travel locks I have tried over the years. Glad to pay a few bucks extra for this one. Would work with most other luggage as well as far as I'm concerned but the thicker cable could end up being a problem for some bags.

TSA Compliant?
I agree that this is a great way to lock a Sportube, but I wanted to add a word of caution. Even though it is described as a TSA approved way to lock your skis, when TSA wants to open your case, they just cut the lock. They don’t relock it!! I recently traveled with a ski club to CO and several of our ski bags were inspected. I watched while one hapless club member tried to pull his Sportube off of the baggage return and it slide open. The lock had been cut off and no other means of keeping the parts of the tube from sliding apart were put on. The same thing happened to me but I didn’t notice until I had reached my destination, mainly because I had the tube so tightly packed that it didn’t come apart while pulling it. My recommendation for any one buying this lock is that you carry with you some other means of fastening the tube together, in case the TSA decides to inspect it and cuts the lock, so you can get to your destination. (A bolt and nut, perhaps?)

One of the very best products I've ever purchased. Have bought three of them. Tough & flexible. Easily the best lock on the market. The price is clearly higher than most but it is completely worthwhile. When comparing it to other "flexible locks", it's clearly the best.

sportive TSA combination padlock
over the past few years, i've had half a dozen TSA locks but this is probably the best. very sturdy and strong, it really feels secure when you lock it. the combination is easy to set and the instructions are simple to follow. It is also be noted that while it is very strong, it is flexible and capable to staying secure under constant movement and strain. super lock.

excellent bit of kit
I bought this to use on my newly acquired Sporttube. I had tried one of my current TSA locks but because of the Sporttube design , they didn't lie flat and I had visions of it catching when the Sporttube was going through baggage claim. This is a really neat TSA approved lock which would be great on zippered bags as well being able to go through the zip tabs. worth the money and very easy to set up to a Pin code that you can remember.

Very good quality like the idea that security can open with a special key so no need to worry about it being damaged.
