Comfort and Support
I have been using Spenco Total Support Thin for several years. They provide the additional support that is needed for my arches and heels in my running shoes. I consider the cost a great value for what I am receiving.

THIN TOTAL SUPPORT is When You Do Not Want to Alter the Volume of the Footwear
This is the thinnest of the Total Support SPENCO product line. It will work in a hiking boot like the SCARPA Kenesis Pro GTX if you want to not modify the boot's toebox volume. However, be aware that this Thin model product uses honeycomb in areas of the ball of foot and heel. Also, the overall support is nowhere near as rigid as that of the Max or Original Total Support or other SPENCO arch support products. My recommendation is to find a local store that carries all the SPENCO product line and select the best product for the need. I am lucky and have that full stocking local store option. The Thin Total Support is best when one specifically needs not to modify the volume of the toebox or fit of the footwear, but needs the cushioning under the ball of foot that the other original SPENCO products do not provide. Otherwise, consider the Original or Max Total Support models. Under hard use, the Thin Total Support is not going to last as long as the Original or the Max Total Support insoles - so be prepared to replace more often. I rate as 4 star only because insoles by their very nature are imperfect - SPENCO could make these larger and allow the customer to trim to fit their footwear. A lot of disappointment with insoles is due to unreasonable expectations - which really is the fault of the original manufacturer for putting a really cheap insole in the shoe in the first place.

Podiatrist recommended
I bought a pair from my podiatrist for my shoes but needed a second pair for tennis shoes. After you break them in by initially wearing them an hour or two a day, they are wonderful. Plantar fasciitis and arthritis in my foot doesn’t bother me and I can walk all day long.

Great, would be even better with a narrow version!
These are only a tiny bit thinner than the Total Support for Her Insole, and really only in the forefoot - still too thick to wear with my Keen ballet flats, but surprisingly, when trimmed a little they worked perfectly with a pair of Merrell Jungle Glove Slip-ons. I wear a women's 9.5 (and rarely, a 9) and purchased the size 8/9-9/10. I find that I trim a fair amount off the top of them, but the support still hits my foot in the proper place. A simple way to trim them is to grab the shoe you plan to use them in and pull out the original insole to use as a size guide. I really wish Spenco would offer narrow versions of their total support insoles! They are okay for athletic and some casual footwear, but are too wide for a lot of women's flats or dressier shoes. Would also love to see the metatarsal support either firmed up or raised just a little more (the Spenco Yumi flip flops seem to have the metatarsal dome just right). however, they do support pretty well and and are some of the most comfortable insoles I've found so far. Update: Regarding the squeaking - I have some shoes that these don't squeak in at all, but in my new Haflingers - ahhhh! It is driving me crazy. Shifting in the arch area appears to be responsible - so I guess if the insole shape doesn't align just right with the footbed shape, sqqquuuueeeeeak!

These Insoles Definitely Make a Noticeable Difference
I spent almost 5 years at a warehouse job where I was on my feet for 10+ hours a day. Oftentimes, I would wear Converse Chuck-Taylor shoes or Vans slip-ons, which offer very minimal cushioning for the feet and thus I had to purchase these insoles. The difference in wearing these kind of shoes without these insoles is very noticeable. Without these insoles, I was barely able to finish my shift if I was wearing the aforementioned shoes. With these insoles, however, my feet wouldn't feel as achy and sore at the end of my shifts. For reference, I am a 29 y/o male with an average build. I use my insoles for over two years for each pair (I recently purchased my third pair of insoles). The support is still there after two years, but I purchase new ones nonetheless because the insoles start to smell, especially since I am active a lot. I recommend these insoles to anyone who likes to wear shoes such as Chuck-Taylors and Vans. I purchase the insoles in men's size 8-9, and they slide in perfectly into my size 9 Vans slip-ons and Chuck-Taylors.

Thin but mighty
I use Thin Spenco because they are not thick. The thick ones raise you too high on the heel and make the instep and toe tight. I pull out the memory foam factory insole in my Skechers, which is soft but has no arch support and does not help my Plantar Fascitis. The Thin Spenco works great. Skechers already have a springy cushioned outsole, and the Spenco Thin insole adds their cupped heel, firmer structure and arch support.

Great for minimalist sneakers
I just got some minimalist sneakers because I was having all kinds of foot trouble due to Ehlers Danlos. They were great. They had a large toe box and we're soft and light weight. The only problem was that they were super flat in the arch. Then I found these. Ordinary inserts would be too large to fit in thee sneakers and defeat the whole purpose. But these are great. They don't take up much space and fit in nicely. They give me just enough support that I am now pain free on my feet. I couldn't find anything else like them.

Great for low-tops like Converse
I love Converse and other low-top shoes, but most OTC inserts are too thick to wear comfortably with them (and Converse and related brands with rubber toe caps don't stretch to accommodate). If you're in the same boat, I recommend these highly.

Nice insoles ... but get the right size (seller mixes women's and men's insoles on one page); read updated reviews
Nice insoles. Seller's page here on Amazon DOES NOT relate the sizing properly as they mix both men's and women's sizes together. Please see my attached photo for sizing options; hopefully the seller will attach sizing information on their sale page. Edit: (7 months later) The seller has not updated the sale page to assist in sizing. I had some issues and my plantar fasciitis was not resolving so I switched to currexSole (European manufacturer) and almost immediately my plantar fasciitis calmed down. I realize that these may work for some people (4 stars for the design minus one star for the seller not providing the necessary sizing information). Would I recommend these insoles ... I have some hesitation but again that is mostly related to my personal experience. Edit:(8 months later) I gave these insoles to my dad and he developed significant foot/ankle problems in one foot. I assessed his foot and I had to apply some support to his cuboid to fix the soft tissue injury; as well I told him not to use the insoles any more. While again these insoles may help some people, my dad and I both had problems and had to discontinue use of the insoles. I hesitate recommending these insoles. (2 stars)

GOOD CYCLING INSOLE ??
Out of the gate this is the most supportive insole I have used . I am rocking them in a pair of cycling shoes and they feel almost great . Almost meaning is the design of the pad under the ball of the foot is not the best for my feet and style of shoe . The grid pattern on these Spenco insoles doesn't insolate and cushion my foot enough from the cleat plate in the insole of the shoes , I can feel it after a few hours like the Princess and the Pea if you have read the book . Yes I realize that this is a thin insole designed for tighter fitting shoes which cycling shoes are and the insole design in the actual shoes vary greatly as do the feet that go in them , this makes reviews like these kind of useless . Because these insoles have more uses then cycling shoes they can still be used obviously for walking and running around in regular shoes which will change your life for the better . So to be fair to the general public and my ethics I willingly gave these insole 5 stars .

Great insoles
I use these in my snowboard boots to raise the heel a bit and for better arch support, and so far they've been great. The thickness is about the same as the stock insole in front but these provide much better heel support and a more stable platform. I've only used these for one season so far, but I have the "original" version of these insoles in my ski boots and those have held up for three seasons without problems.

Best Insole For Running
I’ve been wearing Spenco insoles for the past 5 years for all my runs including four marathons. They provide excellent cushion and support. Highly recommend.
